With the latest fatality, a 60 yr-old female motorist who died from hitting camels left wandering along the highway last night, southern residents are baffled why there’s been only 1 prosecution after 7,151 complaints of unattended camels roaming Israel’s Negev roads.

A woman was killed in a fatal road accident near Beersheva yesterday (Sunday), after crashing into a caravan of camels which were roaming the roads unattended.

Amichai Yogev, southern district director of the Regavim organization, provided legal representation for the family of David Cohen, who died a year and a half ago after colliding with a camel. Continue Reading »

Beersheba Terrorist Identified as Israeli Bedouin From Town of Hura

 

The Palestinian terrorist left 2 men killed and 10 others injured in his attack on Israelis at the Beersheba bus station Sunday night.
• Palestinians report 44 have thus far been killed, and over 1,800 wounded in recent attacks against Israeli Jews.

The Palestinian terrorist who opened fire on passengers at the central bus station in the southern Israeli city of Beersheba Sunday evening was identified as 21 year-old Bedouin man Mohaned al-Okhbi, an Israeli citizen from the southern Bedouin town of Hura.

Gaza Rocket Hits Home in Be’er Sheva, Elderly Woman Injured

Rocket fired from Gaza gets by Iron Dome to hit a home in Be’er Sheva, injuring a woman & causing extensive damage to the building.

A rocket fired from Gaza hit a home in the southern Israeli city of Be’er Sheva on Friday evening.

A woman in her 80s suffered mild injuries and was taken to the Soroka Hospital for treatment. Extensive damage was caused to the building.

A salvo of rockets hit southern Israel earlier on Friday evening, with at least five rockets fired towards Ashdod.

Two rockets were intercepted by Iron Dome. Three other rockets exploded in open areas. Continue Reading »

Beersheva showcases 1st public display of Israeli nuclear technology

The new nuclear exhibit, showing a model of Israel’s nuclear reactor core, is part of massive new science park in the southern city of Beersheva.

Israeli President Shimon Peres last week inaugurated a new science park in the southern city of Beersheva. The highlight of any visit to the park is a model of Israel’s nuclear reactor core in the nearby desert town of Dimona.

The exhibit is the first public display of Israeli nuclear technology.
