Head of ‘covert Hezbollah terror network’ on Syrian border with Israel killed

Israel, which does not comment on foreign reports, has remained silent on Mashour Zidan’s mysterious assassination. Hezbollah has also refrained from commenting and has not blamed Israel for the car-bombing.

The Hezbollah operative killed in Syria on Monday was part of the group’s clandestine “Golan File,” which aims to establish and entrench a covert force on the Syrian Golan Heights that is designed to act against Israel when given the order.

IDF exposes ‘covert Hezbollah terror network’ on Syrian border with Israel

IDF believes the secret Hezbollah network called “The Golan File,” is operating without Assad’s knowledge, and intends to carry out future attacks inside Israel as their operatives have been surveilled gathering intel on IDF troop movements, stockpiling weapons and assembling a military infrastructure.

The Israeli military has uncovered a covert terror network set up by Lebanese terror group Hezbollah on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights, in order to carry out attacks against Israel, the IDF said Wednesday.
