The Cameri Theater performs in Ariel but without 3 actors

The director of the Ariel theater, “We don’t want those who don’t want to come here.”

The Cameri said in its statement, “Those who are not interested are replaced by their colleagues.”

 

 

Three Cameri and Beit Lessin actors have been excused from performing in a play staged at a cultural center in the West Bank settlement of Ariel.

The cast members will be replaced by understudies for the performances of the play “Best Friends,” the theaters said in a statement.

Lady Gaga is coming to perform in Israel

 

Two strikes for the BDS movement: Justin Bieber’s Israeli concert set for May 14th,  then Lady Gaga will be here for her show in summer of 2014.

 

 

Lady Gaga will arrive in Israel in the summer of 2014 for her second performance in the country, Channel 2 reported.

Palestinians win their 1st Emmy with ‘5 Broken Cameras’

Emad Burnat, from the village of Bil’in, who co-directed the Oscar-nominated film with Israel’s Guy Davidi, is the 1st Palestinian to have won an Emmy.

 

 

The Oscar-nominated film “5 Broken Cameras,” a chronicle of Palestinian nonviolent resistance co-directed by Palestinian Emad Burnat and Israeli Guy Davidi, nabbed the best documentary award at the 41st annual International Emmy Awards.

Rihanna set to wow Tel Aviv after Abu Dhabi mosque controversy


Tel Aviv is one of the last stops on Rihanna’s int’l tour which marks her 2nd visit to Israel.

Just prior to landing in Israel, she was asked to leave a mosque in Abu Dhabi due to her ‘sultry’ photo shoot there.

Decade later, construction on Israel’s 2nd int’l airport takes off

 

The Ilan & Asaf Ramon Int’l Airport is set to become a reality. For now the desert surroundings seem poised to trump any possible architectural cliche.

 

 

This week the bulldozers and steamrollers finally kicked up their first cloud of sand as work began on the new international airport, in Timna, in the Arava Desert.

The cornerstone of the facility, whose official name is the Ilan and Asaf Ramon Airport, was laid two weeks ago in a ceremony attended by Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz, Israel Airports Authority officials, Eilat Mayor Meir Yitzhak Halevy and members of the Ramon family including Rona Ramon. Go Daddy, historically the Super Bowl’s raciest advertiser, on Friday will name supermodel Bar Refaeli as its newest Super Bowl-bound Go Daddy girl.

She was ranked No. 1 on Maxim’s Hot 100 for 2012. The move comes just weeks after Mercedes-Benz announced that supermodel Kate Upton will star in its game spot.

Both models are former Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue cover girls.
