U.S. Ambassador Friedman jams with Mike Huckabee in Jerusalem

US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman took up a six-string and performed with former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee in Jerusalem on Tuesday.

Joining Huckabee’s band for a rendition of Lynyrd Skynard’s classic 1973 song “Sweet Home Alabama”, Ambassador Friedman played guitar alongside Huckabee on bass guitar.

Interview: Trump to give peace a chance before moving US embassy to Jerusalem

Speaking with former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, Trump says he first wants to try and forge peace between Israel and the Palestinians before working on his campaign pledge to move the US embassy to Jerusalem. When asked about a timeframe, President Trump answered, ‘We’re going to make a decision in the not too distant future.’

President Donald Trump said in an interview broadcast on Saturday that he wanted to give a shot at achieving peace between Israel and the Palestinians before moving the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

In June Trump signed a temporary order to keep the US embassy in Tel Aviv, despite a campaign promise he made to move it to Jerusalem.

Huckabee: Defund United Nations, reallocate the financing to U.S. veterans

 

In the wake of the anti-Israel resolution, several American lawmakers have called for the U.S. to stop funding to the UN until the resolution is reversed. Former Arkansas Governor, “We ought to take that money that’s going to the UN and make it available to veterans.”

Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee suggested on Thursday that, in the aftermath of the United Nations resolution condemning Israeli presence in Judea and Samaria, that the United States pull its portion of the international body’s funding.

The Knesset & US Congress jointly urge Obama to release Jonathan Pollard

With Obama’s pending trip to Israel, MK Danny Danon & former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee initiated a joint petition urging Jonathan Pollard’s pardon.

President Shimon Peres set to urge U.S. Senators to seek Pollard’s release as well.

A joint initiative by Knesset members and the U.S. Congress is calling on President Barack Obama, scheduled to visit Israel in a few weeks, to secure the release of imprisoned Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard in time to bring the news to Israel personally on his visit.

The two politicians behind the initiative, Israeli MK Danny Danon (Likud-Beytenu) and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, met on Thursday to discuss the joint endeavor.
