REPORT: U.S. State Dept. occludes law that compensates victims of terrorism

In an uncharacteristic move for the most pro-Israel administration, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo appears to be working hard to obstruct an October law that would compensate families of American victims of Palestinian terrorism, according to web-based political journalism website Talking Points Memo.

If the Trump administration is viewed as one of the most pro-Israel administrations ever, why would it reportedly bend over backward to block a new law that would advance compensating the families of American victims of Palestinian terrorism from the Second Intifada?

US merges east Jerusalem consulate with new US Jerusalem embassy

US decision to merge its Jerusalem embassy and the consulate that was primarily used by the Arab residents, is not tied to a change on Jerusalem’s final status, but rather, “to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our [State Department] operations.”

The U.S. embassy in Jerusalem and the U.S. consulate in eastern Jerusalem, which primarily serves Palestinian-Americans, will merge, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced.

Trump fires Sec of State Tillerson over his approval of Obama’s Iran deal

Tillerson has publicly contradicted Trump on the Iran deal in the past, including during the current negotiations, and has advised Trump not to rip up the nuclear accord outright, whereas CIA director Mike Pompeo, has disagreed, advocating for a full U.S. withdrawal from the 2015 pact led by former President Obama.
