Kerry’s new Palestinian-Israeli talks are  far from being a fresh chance for peace. Lacking in any Palestinian reciprocity,  good faith or eagerness for peace, the results will only prove be a grave threat to the Jewish State.

Foreign Ministry to Kerry: Pre-’67 borders as basis for talks contravenes US commitments

 

Alan Baker says any US guarantee to the Palestinians over borders violate a US promise previously written to Israel.

Any US guarantee to the Palestinians that the upcoming negotiations with Israel will be based on the pre-1967 lines would be a violation of written US commitments given to then-prime minister Ariel Sharon, former Foreign Ministry legal adviser Alan Baker wrote in a letter sent this week to Secretary of State John Kerry.

Baker wrote the letter on behalf of the Legal Forum for Israel, along with another attorney with the group, Yossi Fuchs.

U.S. Sec of St John Kerry’s plan to restart peace talks: Israel will release 103 Palestinian terrorists from prison, freeze home construction outside major towns & a $4B transfer to the Palestinian leaders by the U.S.

The Palestinians are still not satisfied.

US Secretary of State John Kerry‘s plan to restart peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians calls for the release of some 103 Palestinian prisoners serving time in Israeli prisons from a time prior to the signing Oslo accords, London-based Al Hayat reported, citing Western diplomatic sources.

Diplomat Says Accepting ‘Arab League Initiative’ is Suicide

Ambassador Ettinger says the Arab “peace plan” is in fact a ‘honey trap’ and  anyone who favors it, has forgotten the lessons of Oslo.

The so-called “Arab initiative” or “Arab League peace plan” that has been gaining currency in recent months is “a recipe for Israel’s suicide,” according to Israel’s former representative in Washington, DC, Yoram Ettinger.

Ambassador Ettinger told Arutz Sheva that the plan is no more than “a honey trap” that misguidedly seeks to force reality to fit some people’s imaginings.

The Arab proposal, explained Ettinger, is based on UN Resolution 194, that favors the so called “right of return” of Arab “refugees” to Israel and would have Israel go back to indefensible 1949 Armistice lines. Continue Reading »

Peace with you will come only after we see that you really want peace. As long as you encourage and arm terror organizations who act against us, incite against us in your media, erase the state of Israel from the geography books in your schools and act against us in international arenas, why should we believe that you indeed want peace?

Hamas: No peace with Israel – EVER!

The EU, US & UN are getting all excited over The Arab League’s suggestion of an Israeli-Arab peace deal, but everyone is ignoring the actual players on the ground, like Hamas, which refuses to make any peace deal under any terms.

Labor prepared to join coalition gov’t for peace treaty

MK Ben-Eliezer says if Bayit Yehudi pulls out of coalition over Arab League Peace-Plan, Labor interested in replacing party to advance peace initiative.

Labor repeated its commitment to enter the government, if necessary, should  it come close to reaching a peace treaty on Wednesday, a day after the Arab League said it would be open to land swaps.

Opposition leader Shelly Yacimovich (Labor) said Tuesday night that her party will “support positive, significant steps toward reaching an agreement.”

“If we are on the cusp of singing a treaty and [Economic and Trade Minister Naftali] Bennett threatens to quit, we won’t be the opposition, and will reexamine entering the government,” a spokeswoman for Yacimovich explained Wednesday.
