Meet RAMBOW, Israel’s Meteor Aerospace’s latest unmanned ground vehicle (UGV), unveiled Monday at the AUS&R Unmanned Systems 2017 Air Show held by iHLS.

Designed with a low silhouette for a range of defense and homeland security missions, RAMBOW can participate in a variety of missions such as ground warfare, intelligence gathering and logistical supply, as well as strategic facilities and border defense, with no risk to personnel. IDF set to deploy unmanned patrol vehicles on Gaza border

 

Currently the IDF aims to deploy the UGVs (Unmanned Ground Vehicles) on its Gaza border with plans to eventually deploy them on Israel’s other borders with Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.

1. The IDF Unmanned Ground Vehicle

The border with Gaza is one of Israel’s most tense regions. Hamas snipers, anti-tank missiles and explosives threaten IDF soldiers whose job it is to patrol the security fence on the border.
