Have all disputed land declared “occupied”
and have terrorists declared legitimate freedom fighters

The Palestinian Authority wishes to achieve a number of political gains by having the UN vote today, recognizing “Palestine” as a non-member observer state. Washington – Despite an aggressive campaign by the United States to head off a UN vote on the Palestinian Authority’s bid for an upgraded status, the General Assembly was expected to grant the request on Thursday. And former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert says he sees no reason to resist the move.

PA will turn to ICC if evidence found that Arafat was murdered

Palestinians will soon have access to international courts following its UN statehood status upgrade on Thursday.

The Palestinian Authority indicated it would take Israel to the International Criminal Court if it uncovers evidence Israel assassinated former PLO chairman Yasser Arafat, something that could become possible if the PA obtains an upgrade to its statehood status in the UN this week.

Speaking to reporters at a new conference in Ramallah on Tuesday, PA investigator Tawfiq Tirawi said Palestinians were gathering evidence about Arafat’s death in order “to submit [it] to the International Criminal Court,” Palestinian news agency Ma’an reported.

(CNN) — Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas asked the U.N. General Assembly on Thursday for nonmember observer status, one step up from the authority’s current position as a permanent observer.

Abbas was later followed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who criticized Abbas’ speech but focused more on excoriating Iran’s attempts to develop nuclear weapons.

Morsi’s debut speech to UN: End Israeli occupation

NEW YORK – Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi on Wednesday urged the international community to work immediately toward the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within “all the occupied territories.”

In a belligerent debut speech before the UN General Assembly, Egypt‘s first democratically-elected president called for immediate progress that would “put an end to the colonialism and the settlements and change the identity of occupied Jerusalem.”

Iran is under threat of military action from “uncivilized Zionists,” a clear reference to Israel, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Wednesday, saying that such threats from big powers are designed to force nations into submission.

“Continued threat by the uncivilized Zionists to resort to military action against our great nation is a clear example of this bitter reality,” Ahmadinejad said in a 33-minute speech before the UN General Assembly.

Prosor accused Syrian President Bashar Assad’s ambassador of spreading lies and hiding the reality that takes place in Syria.
