Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office on Thursday released a video of a closed meeting in which senior Gulf Arab officials play down the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, defend Israel’s right to defend itself, and describe Iran as the greatest threat to regional peace.

White House video displaying map of Israel omitting the West Bank and Golan Heights went missing from official White House YouTube account shortly after receiving angry response from Israel’s Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked, saying, ‘I hope this is just ignorance and not policy.’

Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked (Bayit Yehudi) voiced her disapproval Friday of a map of Israel recently circulated by the White House ahead of President Donald Trump’s upcoming visit which failed to include the West Bank and the Golan Heights. “I hope this is just ignorance and not policy,” Shaked said.

A new video recently put out by the Israeli Foreign Ministry, which depicts a Jewish couple whose home is constantly claimed by foreign invaders, has raised ire.

Critics say the video, which seeks to present a humorous version of the history of the Land of Israel, has achieved the opposite goal by distorting Middle Eastern history, erasing the history of Israeli Arabs and ridiculing quite a few nations. Continue Reading »
