Silent in closing Khamenei’s Twitter account, but Twitter suspends Trump

Although the leading Iranian dissident urged Twitter to suspend Khamenei’s accounts based on his repeated violations of Twitter rules in Persian, English, Spanish & in Arabic tweets, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey ignores pleas, but supported Democrats’ call to make US President Trump’s account permanently closed.

Iranian journalist and dissident Masih Alinejad urged Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey on Friday to permanently ban all accounts associated with the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Alinejad, a women’s rights activist and founder of the My Stealthy Freedom/White Wednesday campaign, told The Jerusalem Post in a statement that “a close review of these accounts in multiple languages which include Persian, English, Spanish, and Arabic, shows that Khamenei has repeatedly violated Twitter rules. Coronavirus kills 2nd of 23 infected Iranian parliamentarians

The Coronavirus is credited for killing the ‘butcher’ of Tehran, named for his role in brutally suppressing civilian protests,  just after the death of Expediency Council member Mohammad Mirmohammadi on Monday.

Saudi Arabia’s powerful Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman called the Supreme Leader of Iran “the new Hitler of the Middle East” in an interview with the New York Times published on Thursday, sharply escalating the war of words between the archrivals.

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, on Wednesday took advantage of International Holocaust Remembrance Day to deny that the Holocaust ever occurred.


A video titled “Are The Dark Ages Over?” was posted on Khamenei’s official website. Against the backdrop of images of the Auschwitz death camp, the video says that “speaking about the Holocaust and expressing doubts about it is considered to be a great sin,” but that “it is not clear whether the core of this matter is a reality or not.” Continue Reading »

Iranian Supreme Leader: ‘Iran will back Palestinians in any way we can’

 

Khamenei criticized those who call Palestinian attackers “terrorists,” saying “We will defend the movement of the Palestinian people with all of our existence, and in any way and as long as we can.”
