Arab Media: Saudi Prince offered Abbas $10B to accept Trump’s peace-plan

Jordanian envoy to Ramallah, Khaled al-Shawabkeh reports 83 yr-old Palestinian autocrat rejected the offer saying, it would “mean the end of my political life.”

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has offered Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas $10 billion if he accepts US President Donald Trump’s plan for peace in the Middle East, also known as the “deal of the century,” the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar reported on Tuesday.

A senior Palestinian official in Ramallah refused to comment on the report.

Referring to meetings between the Saudi crown prince and Abbas, the newspaper said: “According to information obtained by Al-Akhbar, Salman briefed Abbas about the details of the deal of the century and asked him to accept it.

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Friday defended China’s use of concentration camps for Muslims, saying it was Beijing’s “right,” the Telegraph reported.

Saudi Arabia’s future king, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, apparently sees the Palestinian leadership as the primary obstacle to peace in the Holy Land.

That according to an Israel Channel 10 News report on the prince’s meeting with Jewish leaders in New York last month.

Saudi Crown Prince bin Salman says Israel has a ‘right’ to its land

Air India makes historic first commercial trans-Saudi airspace flight to Israel

As Air India Flight AI139 rolled to a halt at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport, Israeli Transport Minister Yisrael Katz said,”This is a historic moment,” recognizing Saudi Arabia’s first official pro-Israel agreement.

Air India launched on Thursday the first scheduled service to Israel to be allowed to cross Saudi airspace, a sign of a behind-the-scenes improvement in ties between the Arab kingdom and the Jewish state.

Flight AI 139 landed at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion airport about 30 minutes after its scheduled arrival time of 1945 GMT.
