Hamas pushing revisionist U.S. history: ‘American Indians were Muslims’

The deputy head of the Palestine Islamic Scholars Association, who is also a Hamas legislator, is exposed in a clip shared by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) saying, “George Washington killed Indians because they were Muslims.”

Hamas officials are generally untruthful when it comes to Israel and world affairs, but sometimes they can outdo themselves on that front.

Sheikh Salem Salameh, a Hamas-affiliated legislator and the deputy head of the Palestine Islamic Scholars Association created his alternative version of US history last week while appearing on Arab television, saying that the wars between the Americans and the indigenous population at the early years of the United States were a result of the latter being Muslim. MEMRI Report: Putin ready to sacrifice Iran to improve ties with United States

 

The Middle East Media Research Institute report cites several Iranian articles, concluding that Russia is essentially trying to marginalize Iran in Syria and “eliminate” its ability to shape Syria’s future despite their nominal cooperation.

Russia is willing to use Iran as a bargaining chip to move closer to the United States, and as a result Moscow’s relations with Tehran have been hurt, the Middle East Media Research Institute said in a report released Wednesday.

The report cites several articles and analyses showing that Russia is increasingly viewing its relations with Iran as a liability rather than an asset.

Kingdom has Saudi media initiate a pro-Jewish campaign

 

Numerous pro-Jewish articles appearing in the Saudi press seems to be preparing the groundwork for future cooperation with the Jewish state.

A series of articles in various Saudi news sources appears to be preparing the ground for greater cooperation with the Jewish state, according to Channel 2‘s veteran Arab affairs analyst, Ehud Yaari, who quoted reports by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).

Yaari said that there is absolutely no doubt that the articles are part of a coordinated campaign.

Yaari cited influential female Saudi columnist Saham al-Kahtani, who recently wrote that the description of Jews as the “sons of apes and pigs” in the Quran relates to the period in which the book was written, and not to the Jews of today. Continue Reading »

A prominent Iraqi cleric has accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of being the driving force behind the Islamic State (ISIS) terror group.

In a recent TV interview translated by MEMRI, Sunni cleric Sheikh Ahmad Al-Kubeisi said that ISIS was an asset in the hands of Netanyahu, who “holds the remote control” and “gives orders to all the rulers of America, Europe, and elsewhere.”

Yousuf Abd Al-Karim Al-Zinkawi, a writer for the Kuwaiti-based Al-Seyassah newspaper has called for Arab and Muslim countries to “immediately recognize Israel,” telling them to drop monikers used to maintain the pretense of non-recognition such as “the Zionist entity.”
