BBC Admits Mistranslation That Hid Indoctrination of Palestinian Anti-Semitism

In a bias anti-Israel documentary, the BBC deliberately mistranslates Palestinian children’s hateful & racist comments about ‘Jews’ to make them appear acceptable.

Even before the BBC’s new documentary on last summer’s war in Gaza airs, the broadcasting organization has admitted that it distorts the truth in order to make the Palestinians appear more sympathetic.

The documentary, entitled “Children of Gaza,” aims at depicting how Operation Protective Edge affected children living in and around the Gaza Strip.

The program has not yet aired, but according to the Jewish Chronicle the Palestinians’ testimonies were mistranslated in order to cover up frequent anti-Semitic comments.

Israel’s satellite TV provider drops BBC World

Due to perceived anti-Israeli bias trickling down to ‘low customer satisfaction’, YES dropped Britain’s flagship broadcaster.

One of Israel’s main satellite TV providers has opted to drop the world-famous British Broadcasting Corporation from its line-up of channels, Israeli media reported Friday.

Hundreds of ‘Lefty Brits’ protest BBC’s ‘pro-Israel’ coverage of #OperationProtectiveEdge

British leftists protest broadcaster’s idea of balance, ‘airbrushing’ out Israel’s preexisting military control of Gaza, and the imbalance of power between the sides.

 

The BBC is widely believed in Israel to be biased in favor of the Palestinians. Yet in Britain, which can fairly be called the nerve center of Western pro-Palestinian sentiment, hundreds of left-wingers have protested in recent days over what they call the state broadcaster’s pro-Israel bias in its coverage of the fighting with Gaza.

BBC Report: Palestinian supporters using false images on Twitter #OperationProtectiveEdge

The BBC has reported that many of the photos are not from the present Gaza conflict & many others are taken from Iraq or Syria conflicts.

 

The BBC has warned that Palestinians in Gaza and their supporters are using false images on Twitter to garner sympathy for their cause.

Many of the images that supposedly show Gaza under bombardment over the past week are neither current nor from Gaza, the global news organization wrote.

“Some of the images are of the current situation in Gaza,” the BBC said, “but a #BBCtrending analysis has found that some date as far back as 2009 and others are from conflicts in Syria and Iraq.” Continue Reading »

Israel 4th from bottom of BBC poll ranking best countries

Israel ‘the better of 4 evils’ topping only North Korea, Pakistan and Iran.

Germany has the most positive influence on the world, according to a survey of 26,000 people in 25 countries.

Israel placed near the bottom of a BBC poll released Thursday ranking the world’s most positively viewed countries.

Some 26,000 people from 25 countries around the world were asked if they viewed a list of 16 countries and the European Union as having a “mainly positive” or “mainly negative” influence in the world.

Germany topped the list with 59 percent of respondents viewing it positively, followed by Canada (55%), the UK (55%) and Japan (51%).

Netanyahu: ‘Israel has the right to prevent WMDs from falling into the wrong hands’

 

Netanyahu: Nonconventional weapons in the hands of terrorists would be regional game changer. Stopping militants from obtaining such weapons is “in other countries’ interest as well.”

In a special interview with the BBC, given during an official visit by the prime minister to London, where he attended former British Premier Margaret Thatcher’s funeral and also met with British Prime Minister David Cameron, Netanyahu said that should terror groups in Syria, especially Hezbollah and al-Qaida, manage to seize anti-aircraft and chemical weapons “it could be a game changer” in the Middle East.

Pallywood is in high gear as Gazans dupe BBC viewers in time-honored style. Is BBC part & party to Gaza’s disinformation policy?

Barely one day into the fighting in Hamas-run Gaza, the locals are hard at work playing the victim for the world’s press.

Footage from the BBC captured by watchdog group Honest Reporting shows a heavy man lying on the ground and being carried away by residents, apparently after being injured by an Israeli attack.

Moments later, that same man again fills the frame, except he is walking about and obviously unhurt.

The widespread staging of such victim situations is a favored tactic of Arabs fighting Israel and has come to be known as “Pallywood.” Continue Reading »

BBC heeds anger caused by its choice of aggressively bias picture on Israel’s profile page; changes it to one of architecture

The British Broadcasting Corporation has finally changed the picture placed on its website’s profiles page for Israel, replacing the aggressive image of a confrontation between a Border Guard officer and a Palestinian, to that of landmark Bauhaus architecture in Tel Aviv.

Olympic Team Salutes Jerusalem as Israel’s Capital In Response to BBC’s Map

Israel’s Olympic team responds in a special video to the BBC’s claim that Jerusalem is not Israel’s capital

Israel’s Olympic team has decided to respond to the BBC’s assertion that Jerusalem is not Israel’s capital, by preparing a video in which Israeli athletes are seen saying they are proud to represent Israel “and its capital Jerusalem.”

The British broadcast authority, which has often been charged with bias against Israel, has come under fire for listing “East Jerusalem” as the capital for the “Palestinian Olympic team” while leaving Israel listed without a capital.

After Israel and Jews around the world complained, the BBC partly corrected its mistake and stated that Israel’s “seat of government is Jerusalem” while still omitting Jerusalem as the capital. Continue Reading »

BBC finnaly lists Israel’s capital as Jerusalem after receiving complaints

No capital was listed on BBC’s Israel Olympic country profile, whereas East Jerusalem was listed for Palestine.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s spokesman Mark Regev sent a letter to the Director of the BBC’s Bureau in Israel, Paul Danahar on Thursday after the BBC Sport page failed to identify Israel’s capital city as Jerusalem.

Until Wednesday afternoon, the page offering information about the Palestinian Olympic team referred to its capital as ‘East Jerusalem’, but the equivalent page for Israel made no mention of a capital city at all.

Iran slams BBC over film about Israel relations

Islamic Republic says Iranian-Canadian’s film includes “unauthorized” footage shot in Tehran.

 

Iran sharply criticized the BBC on Friday for airing what it said was “illegal footage” of Tehran in a new documentary examining the history of Iran’s relationship with Israel, from the Babylonian exile through the present conflict.

BBC Persian – whose broadcasts are jammed in Iran – posted Iranian- Canadian journalist Maziar Bahari’s film, From Cyrus to Ahmadinejad, on its website last week, where it is still available for viewing. The Persian-language channel has also organized a showing of the documentary at London’s Frontline Club later this month.
