ANALYSIS: IDF’s Strategy in the War Against Iran

The IDF’s commencement of Operation Northern Shield is the third tier in its psychological war against Iran:

  1. Iranians left dumbstruck by Israel’s cutting-edge technology that is currently destroying tunnel after tunnel exiting Lebanon,
  2. Generals distressed after Israel’s Air Force successfully destroyed advanced weaponry in Syria while Russia’s S-300 stood idly ‘watching’ and,
  3. Reading in the press how Hamas begged Egypt to facilitate a ceasefire the day after the IAF successfully hit 150 strategic targets in Gaza in under 48 hours.

IDF intel chief: Next Hezbollah war will turn Lebanon into another refugee state

 

Maj.-Gen. Herzi Halevi, speaking at the annual security conference noted that, “In the next wars, the majority of weapons that will attack Israel will be Iranian products,” suggesting Israel will need to escalate in its defense.

Lebanon will become a “state of refugees” from which it will be difficult to recover if there is another war between Israel and Hezbollah, a senior IDF intelligence general said Wednesday.

‘Lebanese homes in border villages won’t be standing after next Israel-Hezbollah war’

“When it [Hezbollah] decides to construct an operational infrastructure throughout nearly all of the villages in the south, I think it understands the risk it is taking.” says commander of the IDF’s Galilee Formation, Brig.-General Moni Katz, in an interview on Army Radio.

 

The homes in Lebanese villages along the border with Israel “will no longer stand” in the event that the Lebanese Shi’ite group Hezbollah launches a ground offensive against Israel, the commander of the IDF’s Galilee Formation, Brig.-General Moni Katz told Army Radio on Wednesday.
