NGO Monitor Informed Danish Parliament It’s Inadvertently Funding Israel’s Destruction

 

NGO Monitor addressed a special parliament session, warning them that huge amount of funds are covertly going to NGOs that acts against explicit Danish policies.

The NGO Monitor research institution on Wednesday took part in a special session of the Danish Parliament, and told Danish lawmakers the supposedly humanitarian funds their country is handing over to local NGOs is actually advancing anti-peace agendas.

Shaun Sacks, a researcher at the independent Jerusalem-based NGO Monitor, addressed the Foreign Affairs Committee and Foreign Policy Committee in Copenhagen.

He revealed that Danish taxpayers’ money being sent through third party NGOs for the goal of stopping the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in fact end up funding projects that contradict the Danish government’s stated objectives. Continue Reading »

Far-left Israeli NGO B’Tselem is licking its wounds after falling short in an online vote to win a 100,000 euro-grant from the Dutch government – and is blaming “right-wingers” for spoiling its chances.

B’Tselem – which receives most of its funding from foreign, primarily European, donors – was among 30 NGOs and charities running for the Dutch Human Rights Tulip 2015.

Six candidates – including three “public favorites” along with another three “wild cards” selected by judges – will be shortlisted for the prize money, following which “an independent jury will meet and advise the Dutch minister of Foreign Affairs, who will select the winner.” Continue Reading »

10 Swiss MPs: Gov’t Funding ‘Breaking the Silence’ a scandal & misuse of tax money

“Disinformation & the political ideology of hatred are being directed against the Jewish state…(by) one-sided, unbalanced non-scientific reports.”  The 10 Swiss parliamentarians said the NGO belongs to the BDS movement and its work is “propaganda.”

As EU countries seek publicly ‘2 State-Solution’, they paid $27M to NGOs to Undermine it

According to Israel’s Foreign Ministry, NGO Transparency Law now prove foreign governmental bodies have paid left-wing Israeli groups $27M that was used to promote anti-Israel activities that hinder normalization efforts with the Palestinians.

Some 24 Israeli non-governmental political advocacy organizations dealing with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict reported a total of nearly 105 million shekels ($27 million) in direct and indirect funding from foreign governments, especially in the European Union, from 2012 to 2014, according to an NGO Monitor report from earlier this year.

The Jerusalem-based organization NGO Monitor delivered a presentation on Tuesday to members of the European Parliament, which outlined irregular funding practices for EU funded NGOs in the Middle East, including organizations that seek to delegitimize Israel.

MADRID – An initiative by Germany’s neo-Nazi NPD party last year in a state parliament to demarcate Israeli products came to light this month and closely resembles the recent Green Party bill that would label Israeli products from settlements.

The revelation last week that an anti-Israel bill from the mainstream left-liberal Green Party in the Federal Bundestag mirrors, in key provisions, the language of a far-right party stirred criticism from Israeli and German experts on modern anti-Semitism.

According to NGO Monitor, EU funds are going to organizations involved in anti-Israel boycotts and violent demonstrations, which “undermine the EU’s efforts to secure peace in the Middle East.”

According to NGO Monitor, the report, titled “Lack of Due Diligence and Transparency in European Union Funding for Radical NGOs,” shows how EU-funded NGOs lead the campaigns to demonize Israel through the boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) – actions that “totally contradict the EU’s proclaimed objectives of supporting peace and democratic development.” Continue Reading »

The Jerusalem-based NGO Monitor released today a report titled “Blood Libels and BDS” detailing the antisemitic rhetoric and activity of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) which will be presented to the participants of the Global Forum in Jerusalem later this week.

In a decision concerning a petition brought by Jerusalem-based research institute NGO Monitor, the European Union Court of Justice confirmed that the EU fails to act transparently in its funding of non-government organization (NGOs). The Court’s decision, issued November 27, 2012, permitted these secret procedures, in violation of transparency and democracy norms, said NGO Monitor.

EU court rejects NGO Monitor petition to release information on Israeli NGOs

The right-wing group, NGO Monitor, which tracks the activity of left-wing organizations & NGOS in Israel, has been trying to obtain their documents for 10 years.

The European Court of Human Rights throws out the suit, saying the information may be used to harm the NGOs.

 

After four years of legal battles, the European Court of Human Rights rejected the request of the right-wing organization NGO Monitor to receive documents regarding the funding of 16 projects of human rights organizations in Israel.

Christmas Exploited for Israel Bashing: ‘O Boycott All ye Faithful’

PA-based Christian orgs are getting into ‘the holiday spirit’, with libelous attacks on Israel, including the ‘Jews killed Jesus’.

A new report from NGO Monitor reveals that several Christian organizations that support the Palestinian Authority are using Christmas to attack Israel. Holiday propaganda ranged from half-truths aimed at portraying Israel as oppressive to “crude anti-Semitism” based on historic Christian accusations of Jews being prophet-killers, the group said.

The report, titled, “O Boycott All ye Faithful,” criticized groups including Christian Aid, Sabeel, Kairos Palestine, and Israel Palestine Mission Network, Presbyterian Church (USA).

The latter group has published a daily advent devotional headed by a picture in which Mary and Joseph, parents of Jesus, are trapped behind a wall styled on Israel’s security barrier between Bethlehem and Jerusalem. Continue Reading »

Human Rights Watch Lying About Israel…Again

NGO Monitor, points out that Human Rights Watch (HRW) is once again leveling false charges against Israel.

NGO Monitor, which studies the treatment of Israel by supposedly non-affiliated and apolitical volunteer and civic groups, has accused Human Rights Watch (HRW) of once again leveling false charges against Israel. According to NGO Monitor, HRW accused Israel of attacking “journalists” in Gaza during Operation Pillar of Defense, but the charge “is false both legally and factually, and the timing of this release appears to be a cynical attempt to divert attention from many scandals currently plaguing the organization,” NGO Monitor said. Half the Story: Analysis of Amnesty’s 2012 World Report

 

JERUSALEM – In response to Amnesty International’s 2012 World Report, NGO Monitor released the following statement:

·         As in many previous reports, Amnesty continues to level unsupported allegations of violations of international law against Israel, including “collective punishment.” In contrast, the organization expressed uncertainty regarding the legal significance of the murder of more than 8,000 Syrians by Bashar al-Assad, claiming that these deaths “may have constituted crimes against humanity”. Israel is mentioned 137 times in the report as opposed to 74 mentions for the Syrian regime.
·         In the 2012 report, Amnesty accuses Israel of “collective punishment” (pg 48) of the Palestinian population, in the form of a blockade against Gaza, which is controlled by Hamas.
