Peace talks with Abdullah in the middle

Kerry’s current peace plan was reportedly proposed by Jordan’s King Abdullah II to President Obama last year in order to keep Jordan from becoming recognized as Palestine.

Since January 8, 2014, the London-based Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper has published three reports on the alleged details of the Kerry peace plan.  Al-Quds Al-Arabi is one of the most prominent Arab newspapers and considered a major source of inside information on most Arab regimes. According to Al-Quds Al-Arabi, US Secretary of State John Kerry’s plan revolves around Jordan’s king settling Palestinian refugees living in Arab countries in his kingdom and in exchange he would receive $55 billion for “Jordan’s role in hosting refugees for over five decades”. U.S. Amb. Shapiro explains: Kerry’s proposal came from Israeli & Palestinian demands

Comments by US envoy to Israel contradict with Prime Minister’s assertion that Kerry’s framework peace agreement demands reflect “American positions”.

Amb. Shapiro reports “very little” of framework paper will be purely authored by Americans.

The paper Secretary of State John Kerry is developing to form the basis for further Israeli-Palestinian negotiations is not solely composed of American ideas, but is drawn from what the Israelis and Palestinians presented, US Ambassador Dan Shapiro said on Wednesday.

Israel has long maintained that one of the principle obstacles to peace is the failure of the Palestinian Authority to educate its people to favor a compromise peace agreement with Israel. Continue Reading »

EU Ambassador to Israel: Israel Will Be Blamed if Peace Talks Fail

By Ryan Jones

European Union Ambassador to Israel Lars Faaborg-Andersen freely admitted on Wednesday that Europe intends to blame the Jewish state if the current peace talks fail to produce an agreement.

“Naturally, the blame will be put squarely on Israel’s doorstep,” stated Faaborg-Andersen.

He qualified that remark by insisting it would be only “logical” to attribute failure to Israel if the issue that prevents the signing of a peace deal is Jewish “settlement activity.” Continue Reading »
