Palestinian children throw stones at Prince William

UNREPORTED in the West: After Prince William Duke of Cambridge finished this tour of the Jalazun refugee camp east of Ramallah, Palestinian children took to the streets to pelt him, and his convoy with stones.

Prince William’s visit was important for being the first (official visit) by a member of the British Royal Family since the founding of the State of Israel. But beside that fact, it was a rather uneventful stopover, as befitting the visit of an apolitical figure to a politically-charged region.

Except for once incident.

Prince William visits Yad Vashem, Israel’s President Rivlin in Jerusalem

Photo essay as the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William began his first day of touring Israel, in it’s capital, Jerusalem, with visits to PM Netanyahu, Yad Veshem, where he laid a wreath honoring the 6 million Jews killed by the Nazis and a ‘sit-down’ with Israel’s President Reuven Rivlin.

Prince William began his first day of touring Israel on Tuesday morning, kicking off his three-day visit with a trip to Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Museum in Jerusalem, where he expressed his horror at the “terrifying” Nazi extermination of six million Jews.
