First major US trial win against Palestinian terrorism will be precedent maker

A win in the ongoing New York trial represented by Shurat Hadin against the Palestinian Authority, would signal a plaintiff-friendly playing field for filing further terrorism cases in the US.

Israeli NGO Files 3 War Crime Lawsuits Against PLO Leadership at the ICC

Shurat HaDin (Israel Law Center) has filed three more war crimes suit against Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) officials in the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the Hague.

The NGO says that while the Palestinian leadership can be indicted for terror acts carried out from 2002 onward, Israel can only be indicted for deeds done from the day the PLO joined the Rome Statute – the request to join was signed last week.

Complaint Filed Against Palestinian President Abbas in ICC for War Crimes

Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and the International Criminal Court (ICC) have made headlines again Monday – but this time, it is Israel who is being vindicated on the global scale.

Shurat HaDin – Israel Law Center, an Israeli based civil rights organization announced today that they filed an unprecedented war crimes complaint against Abbas in the ICC.

The complaint states that the Fatah faction was responsible for numerous rocket attacks on Israeli cities during this past summer’s Gaza war, making Abbas personally liable for the terrorist groups’ criminal acts. Continue Reading »

Criminal Suit Filed Against Hamas’ Khaled Mashal at the ICC for War Crimes

Israel Law Center charges Hamas’ chief  with war crimes at the Hague court for executing 38 Palestinian civilians without trial for allegedly being Israeli collaborators in Gaza.

The Shurat Hadin Israel Law Center has filed a criminal suit with the International Criminal Court in The Hague against Hamas’ political leader Khaled Mashal for the execution of some 38 Palestinians during the Gaza conflict.

The suit was made possible due to Mashal’s Jordanian citizenship. Jordan is a member of the court.

Lawyer Attacks Hypocrisy of Presbyterian Divestment While Enjoying Israel Tax Benefits

The Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA) voted last month to divest from companies that supply equipment to Israel. The decision means pulling church investments in Caterpillar, Motorola and HP to the tune of $21 million.

But, as it turns out, this very same church and its related organizations receives benefits and tax breaks from Israel totaling millions of dollars, and presumably would be none too pleased to lose those perks.
