UN passes resolution allowing Palestinians powers of full member in 2019

Only  US, Israel and Australia vote against United Nations General Assembly resolution allowing the Palestinian to participate fully in meetings as a legitimate state and join previously restricted international bodies.

The 193-member United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday allowed the Palestinians to act more like a full UN member state during meetings in 2019 when they will chair the group of 77 developing nations.

The United States, Israel and Australia voted against the move, which won 146 votes in favor. There were 15 abstentions and 29 countries didn’t vote.

US to vote ‘NO’ on UN General Assembly resolution banning the glorification of Nazism

Even though the U.S. opposes all pro-Nazi speech, due to protecting its First Amendment beliefs, U.S. officials will again vote ‘no’ at the UNGA on the annual Russian resolution condemning the glorification of Nazism.
– As in past years, U.S. officials are reportedly pressuring Israel to demonstrate support and also vote ‘no’, or at least ‘abstain’ this year.

US: Foolhardy Hamas bravado substantiates Iranian violations of UN resolutions

US Ambassador to the UN says Hamas’ new leader’s boasting of receiving money and weapons from Iran prove Tehran is violating UN resolutions prohibiting their export of weapons.

The United States on Thursday described remarks by a Hamas leader boasting of strong military ties with Iran as a “stunning admission” that showed Tehran was violating a UN ban on arms exports.

Hamas leader Yahya al-Sinwar, who heads the Islamist terrorist movement in Gaza, told reporters on Monday that Iran was the “biggest supporter” of Hamas’ military wing, the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades.

“The Iranian military support to Hamas and al-Qassam is strategic,” said Sinwar, adding that ties with Iran had “become fantastic and returned to its former era.” Continue Reading »

REPORT: Iran AGAIN launched Ballistic Missile test in defiance of UN resolution 2231

 

Conspicuously neglected in the American sponsored nuclear agreement with Iran, the UN passed resolution 2231, which stated that Iran could not conduct ballistic missile tests, making the test that occurred on Sunday outside Semnan, about 140 miles east of Tehran, a direct violation of the UN resolution.
