Israeli company LifeWatch Technologies unveils the LifeWatch V, a medical smartphone that measures seven medical indexes.

Israeli company LifeWatch Technologies unveiled on Tuesday the LifeWatch V, a first of its kind medical smartphone that renders it possible to independently measure seven medical indexes: ECG, heart rate, body temperature, blood sugar levels, body fat percentages, blood oxygen saturation and an index for measuring stress.

Israel deploying Iron Dome anti-missile system at Egypt border

Rocket intercepting system is to be set up near Eilat after the border with Egypt grew tense since their popular uprising ousted Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak last year.

Israel said on Wednesday it would deploy a battery of Iron Dome rocket interceptors at a southern frontier town opposite Egypt, a move that follows cross-border attacks in the area.

Israeli media reported that it was the first time the interceptors, which have been used against Palestinian rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip, were being set up at Eilat, near Israel’s borders with Egypt and Jordan. Continue Reading »

The leader of Muslim separatists in Kashmir has called on the government to prevent Israelis from entering the region due to the Jewish state’s “aggressive policy against the Palestinians,” Yedioth Ahronoth reported Thursday.

In response to the Kashmir Tourism Department’s decision to send a delegation to Tel Aviv in a bid to woo Israeli tourists to the region, the leader of the separatist Hurriyat party, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, said Friday that “although we welcome guests and visitors, we cannot accept agents of the Israeli intelligence agencies visiting Kashmir in the garb of tourists.” Continue Reading »

The air strike was carried out in a coordinated maneuver together with IDF artillery forces as a Hamas terrorist cell was preparing their attack, aimed at Israeli soldiers involved in routine activity near the Gaza security fence.

Documents detailing a plot to attack Jewish neighborhoods in London were found on the body of an African leader of al-Qaida.

The plans, which included plots for a kidnapping and attacks on Eton College and the Ritz and Dorchester hotels in London, were found on the body of Fazul Abdullah Mohammed, 38, who was shot last year by Somali forces as he tried to crash through a government checkpoint, the Toronto Star reported Wednesday.

According to the plans, the terrorists would strike London’s Stamford Hill and Golders Green neighborhoods, which are populated with “tens of thousands of Jews crammed in a small area,” the Star reported. Continue Reading »

Palestinian Authority Rejects Levy Report

Officials in Ramallah say they’ll never accept  a single Jewish community in Judea, Samaria, or eastern Jerusalem.

Officials in Ramallah on Wednesday slammed the Netanyahu government’s plans to accept the conclusion of the Levy Commission report on Jewish settlement in Judea and Samaria.

“We will not sign any peace agreement if there is a [single] settlement on Palestinian Land,” Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ spokesman Nabil Abu Rodier said.

The Levy report concluded Israel is not an occupying power in Judea and Samaria, and that Jewish communities in the region are therefore legal under international law.

“Israel has no right to be on Palestinian lands,”Rodier said, adding the PA rejected the Levy report in no uncertain terms.

Interior minister says Ivory Coast migrants have less than a week to voluntarily leave & receive grants, or they will be deported.

Interior Minister Eli Yishai said Wednesday that migrants from the Ivory Coast have less than a week to leave the country and if they do not, the Population, Immigration and Borders Authority (PIBA) will deport them.

“In less that a week the deadline given to the migrants from the Ivory Coast to leave the country voluntarily will expire,” said Yishai.

A new plan to form an aircraft maintenance and disposal facility in southern Israel has been greenlighted by the Israel Land Administration and the Eilot Regional Council.

The future compound, which will be built near Ovda, will stretch across 642.5 acres and serve an as aircraft maintenance and disposal facility for Airpark Ltd.The company is expected to store some 500 aircrafts and airplane parts in the facility and perform maintenance on both civilian and military planes from all over the world; including scrapping about 25 planes a year. Archaeology Proves Existence Of Biblical Bethlehem – Ancient Bulla Discovered

In this latest archaeological discovery, together with others recently unearthed, is raising a new wave of interest in the field of biblical archaeology. This latest find is the 1st ancient artifact constituting tangible evidence of the existence of the city of Bethlehem, at least from the 1st Temple period, found during excavations in Jerusalem.

The Tzohar rabbinical organization, which helps to involve non-religious couples and their families in religious wedding ceremonies, is introducing a brit milah program “friendly” to non-observant Jews in Israel.

Israel’s Elbit Systems has soared into the international market with a new agreement with Boeing to market the company’s Hermes UAVs, American military and defense media reported Monday.

The companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the Farnborough Air Show in London. The agreement covers marketing and sales of Elbit’s Hermes 450 and 900 UAS product lines.

The agreement gives Elbit a long-desired stronger foothold in the U.S. market.

Its Hermes 450 UAV are exported to several countries, including Britain, Singapore, Georgia and Brazil. Continue Reading »
