The Knesset plenum held a debate on the bill proposed by MK Ahmed Tibi (Joint Arab List) to hold an official memorial day in Israel for the Nakba (translated: ‘Catastrophe’), when the Arab nations failed in their attempt to destroy the nascent Jewish State in 1948.

Arab Parliamentarian Outraged Over Israel’s Plan to Deal With Jailed Hunger-Strikers

 

MK Ahmed Tibi (Joint Arab List) condemns decision to bring in foreign doctors that agree to force-feed hunger striking imprisoned terrorists, preventing ‘self-inflicted damage’ to their health.

Senior officials in Israel intend to fly doctors from a foreign country to forcibly feed security prisoners who are currently engaged in a hunger strike and who, it is feared, could require hospitalization.

Channel 2 reported that the officials decided to “import” the foreign doctors in light of the refusal of the Israeli Medical Association to forcibly feed the hunger strikers. 850 prisoners are currently engaged in the hunger strike. Continue Reading »

Israel’s Deputy FM reveals Jerusalem’s secret ties with Indonesia to Arab MK Tibi

 

Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely tells Arab MK Tibi there is “continuous contact” between Israel & Indonesia, and because their FM blatantly violated a breach of diplomatic code, she wasn’t allowed to enter Israel.

Israel to permit hunger-striking Palestinian prisoners to be sedated for force-feeding

Palestinian Member of Israel’s Knesset who oppose the force-feeding bill calls it ‘immoral’ and ‘unethical.’

Jewish MK says, “Tibi wants pain & suffering, and I don’t. I don’t want them to suffer.”

 

Physicians will have the authority to sedate hunger-striking Palestinian prisoners to make it easier to force-feed them, the Public Security Ministry’s legal adviser said on Wednesday.

Israeli Arab MK Ahmed Tibi protested the decision, calling it “a huge scandal.”

“This is a new piece of information, and I ask that the discussion be stopped immediately,” Tibi said.

Attorney General and Government Legal Advisor Yehuda Weinstein is considering a request by MK Miri Regev (Likud) to open a criminal investigation against MKs Ahmed Tibi (Raam-Taal), Zehava Galon (Meretz) and Dov Chenin (Hadash), who rendered ineffective a gag order on the Zygier affair by speaking about the affair in the Knesset plenum.
