Palestine charges U.S. in Int’l Court over embassy move to Jerusalem

Palestinian minister submitted an “indictment” against the United States at the International Court of Justice on the 1st anniversary of the embassy relocation saying the State of Palestine will fight “against all illegal acts of aggression and shall not surrender to political bullying and extortion.”

The PA has filed a lawsuit with the International Court of Justice in The Hague against the US for moving its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

The complaint was submitted to the court by Palestinian Authority Foreign Minister Riad Malki on the first anniversary of the embassy relocation.

Update: 52 Gazans killed as Hamas sends violent protesters to cross border

Ahead of the US Embassy opening in Jerusalem in 3 hours, some 10,000 Palestinians have already gathered near Gaza’s border with Israel as Nakba Day begins with burning tires planting roadside bombs and clashes with IDF soldiers.
– IDF sources say Hamas will try to carry out terror attacks amidst the chaos after their infiltration into Israel along with possible attempts to kidnap soldiers.

The Knesset plenum held a debate on the bill proposed by MK Ahmed Tibi (Joint Arab List) to hold an official memorial day in Israel for the Nakba (translated: ‘Catastrophe’), when the Arab nations failed in their attempt to destroy the nascent Jewish State in 1948.

Reuters bureau chief censures US envoy over ‘Nakba Day’ desecration

Israel bureau chief for Reuters criticized the new US Ambassador on Twitter for announcing his arrival in Israel to begin working on May 15th, or as biased reporter pointed out, ‘Nakba Day’.

Newly-appointed US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman is set to arrive in Israel next Monday, beginning his service in the Jewish state a week ahead of President Trump’s first visit to Israel since taking office in January.

On Tuesday, a Twitter account in Friedman’s name confirmed that he would be heading to Israel on May 15th.

CNN puts (Empty) Palestinian Museum opening on ‘Nakba Day’ among top new attractions for 2016

On Wednesday CNN placed the Palestinian museum that’s set to open on “Nakba Day”, on its list of ‘best 9’ alongside Shanghai Disneyland & the Louvre Abu Dhabi.

CNN on Wednesday listed the Palestinian Museum, set to open in the West Bank in May, as one its “9 best attractions opening in 2016.”

The museum’s opening is scheduled to coincide with Nakba Day, in which Palestinians mark the “catastrophe” of Israel gaining independence in 1948.

The Palestinian museum is included on CNN’s list alongside Shanghai Disneyland, a film-themed park in Dubai, the new FIFA soccer museum in Zurich, San Francisco’s new Museum of Mod’ern Art, a Noah’s Ark-inspired theme park in Kentucky, a mega-mall in Qatar, the refurbished Darling Harbour in Sydney and the UAE’s version of Paris’ most famous art museum, the Louvre Abu Dhabi. Hamas Official Demands British Reparations for Facilitating Israel’s Existence

Hamas officials are claiming that the UK pay Palestinians reparations & aid Hamas in terrorizing Israel to “avenge” the “injustice” since Britain “paved the way” for a “Zionist takeover” of their land.

The coordinator of the Palestinian Arab world’s “Nakba Day” events has blamed Britain for Israel’s existence on Friday, charging it with “theft of natural resources and property” and calling for the country to assist in Palestinian terror groups’ retaking of Israel and to pay reparations to “avenge” the “injustice.”

An autopsy conducted at a Palestinian Authority (PA) institute on one of the two Arab rioters who died during the “Nakba (Catastrophe) Day” clashes on May 15 alleges the rioter was killed by a live bullet.

PA Attorney General Abdel-Ghani Al-A’wewy claimed to Reuters that “a fragment from a live bullet was found inside the body of the martyr,” adding a live bullet “was the only reason for the death.” Continue Reading »

Possible Pallywood Film Sparks Further Debate on 2 Palestinian Deaths

Israeli ballistics expert Dr. Yosef Yekutiel, said the rifle barrel used by the Border Policeman seen in the CNN footage was thicker than usual, which means it was adapted for firing rubber bullets.

New footage published today by CNN, reportedly showing a group of Border Police officers firing towards a crowd of Palestinian protesters on Nakba Day, sparked a new round of debate on whether live ammunition or rubber bullets were used.

Tel Aviv students’ Nakba Day ceremony causes campus stir

Right-wing MK calls Palestinian ‘catastrophe’ a ‘day of celebration’ outside university gates

Left- and right-wing groups gathered at Tel Aviv University Monday afternoon to mark and protest the Palestinian Nakba Day.

Far-right MK Aryeh Eldad called the Nakba “a day of celebration” as he led dozens of activists who protested a ceremony meant to mark the Palestinian “catastrophe” by students at the university.

Hundreds were gathered in front of the university, holding signs and yelling slogans. Police maintained a heavy presence between the two groups. Three protesters, two from the right and one from the left, were detained.
