3rd Palestinian garbage-truck confiscated for illegal dumping of solid-waste/garbage

 

Judea and Samaria Civil Administration officials confiscated the third PA garbage truck after being caught dumping trash at improper, illegal site.

The Supervisory Unit of the IDF Civil Administration in Judea and Samaria confiscated a Palestinian Authority truck Monday after the truck was caught dumping garbage at an illegal waste disposal site between Alfei Menashe and Karnei Shomron. In the last two weeks two other PA trucks were impounded for similar offenses.

Largest Land Declaration by Gov’t in Gush Etzion in Past Decade

In a move to surely render the EU, American administration and Abbas’ PA livid, Israel’s Civil Administration declared a parcel of 242 acres of land in Gush Etzion as government-owned land, signaling new construction in the near future.

After years of research and a number of High Court cases, the Civil Adminstration on Sunday declared a parcel of 980 dunams (242 acres) of land in Gush Etzion as state-owned land. The declaration of the parcel as state-owned land is the first step in developing plans for eventual home construction.

This is the largest single state land declaration in Gush Etzion for more than a decade and observers said that it could signal a signifcant increase in construction in Gush Etzion in the coming years. Continue Reading »

Arabs ‘Illegal Building’ is Coordinated Takeover of State Land

Illegal Arab construction on open state land is part of a deliberate strategic takeover with orders from Palestinian Authority, Civil Administration official warns.

There is an ongoing coordinated effort among Palestinian Arabs to take over Israeli-owned land in Judea and Samaria (Shomron), a senior Civil Authority official warned Tuesday.

“Over the past two to three years, there’s been a battle for Area C,” said Marco Ben-Shabbat. “It’s not like what we saw before, with a single Palestinian building a private home illegally. It is much more organized.”

Ben-Shabbat indicated that those establishing illegal communities in Area C are receiving orders from above, but declined to say who was behind the campaign. Continue Reading »
