US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Monday praised Colombia, Honduras and Guatemala which designated Hezbollah as a terrorist organization.
In a post on Twitter, Pompeo wrote that Hezbollah “and other transnational terrorist groups remain active in the region. The US continues to rally international support to counter these threats.”

Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit expressed his dissatisfaction with President Morales’s intention to relocate his country’s embassy to Jerusalem, telling the Guatemalan President to avoid any action that could affect the future, of what was considered, ‘friendly relations.’

Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit on Thursday urged Guatemala to cancel its decision to relocate its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, the official Palestinian Authority Wafa news agency reported.
A spokesman for Aboul Gheit, Mahmoud Afifi, said the Secretary-General sent an urgent letter to Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales expressing dissatisfaction with Morales’s intention to move the Guatemalan embassy to Jerusalem. Continue Reading »
