Former Pakistani president calls for diplomatic ties with Israel

Speaking in Dubai, former Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf, who established contact with the Jewish State in 2005 via Jack Rosen, a U.S. businessman, told a journalist that there is no harm in establishing diplomatic relations with Israel.

ISLAMABAD — Former Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf believes it’s time for Pakistan to consider establishing ties with Israel.

He was speaking at a press conference on February 22 in Dubai, where he has been living in self-exile to avoid what he believes are politically motivated court cases back home.

Pakistani Jew seeks Israel’s permission to visit Jerusalem for Passover

Despite lack of diplomatic relations, Pakistani Jew Fishel Khalid seeks special visa to enter Israel, saying in an open letter that since he can now legally travel to Israel, his dream is to make a pilgrimage to Jerusalem.

Fishel Khalid, a Pakistani who has become famous for convincing authorities to recognize him as a Jew, appealed to the Israeli government on Sunday and asked for special permission to make a pilgrimage to Jerusalem.

In a special interview with Israel Hayom, Khalid says that because his newly issued Pakistani passport states his religion as Judaism, all he has to do in order to visit Jerusalem is get Israel’s permission. Continue Reading »

Israel Air Force begins in USAF’s Red Flag exercise with Pakistan, UAE

 

Not only is the IAF currently participating in a joint military exercise alongside the UAE, Pakistan and Spain, but next month Israeli pilots are to carry out a ‘first of its kind’ exercise in India.

The Israel Air Force is taking part in the ongoing Red Flag aerial exercise alongside UAE, Pakistan and Spain, a US military spokesperson told i24news, the first official confirmation of Pakistan and the UAE’s heavily rumored participation.

The advanced training exercise kicked off Monday and will go on until August 26.
