UK & EU build illegal PA road through IDF training ground

The British government and EU are illegally paving a Palestinian planned road through an IDF Training Ground where a handful of Bedouin families had set up an encampment of tents and temporary structures, in yet another attempt to create a swath of territory under Arab control, on Israeli state land.

The UK and the EU recently began paving a road on land in IDF Firing Zone 917 in the southern Hevron Hills, despite recent Israeli government claims it is enforcing the law there.

Israel’s supreme court rules squatters’ village near J’lem to be demolished

The EU has spent hundreds of millions of taxpayers’ money to erect makeshift sheds in defiance of Israeli building & zoning laws, proudly displaying the EU flags constructed on public lands. Such actions are clearly illegal according to local laws & European laws, and despite European gov’ts efforts to halt their demolition, the supreme court now approves the razing of the illegal Bedouin village east of Jerusalem.

IDF announces Beduin enlistment on upswing after declining years

IDF believes the 40% increase in 2017 of Beduin 18 yr-olds volunteering to enlist is due to Defense Ministry benefits and occupational training offered to the recruits.

After years of steady decline in the number of young Beduin volunteering to enlist in the IDF, the past year has seen a reversal of that trend manifesting in a 40% increase in 2017. Four hundred and twenty Beduin men joined the army in 2017, up from 300 in 2016, and the IDF aims to increase recruitment further, to 600, in the coming year.

Despite the fact that the number of members of the Beduin sector who choose to enlist is still objectively low, the army believes that the recruitment potential will increase significantly, even as the community experiences a processes of religious radicalization and deepening rupture with the state, especially among the southern tribes. Israel’s Shin Bet busts ISIS Beduin cell that includes 4 school teachers in Negev

The 4, working in Israeli schools, spread the group’s propaganda among their students, family members & associates in hopes they’d join the Islamic State in Syria.

Security forces have arrested six Israeli Beduin men from the Negev town of Houra, four of whom work as school teachers, for allegedly supporting the Islamic State terrorist organization.

The Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) revealed Monday that the men were arrested over the past two months.  They allegedly took part in secret meetings in which they discussed Islamic State doctrine, and spread the group’s propaganda among their family members and associates.
