Knesset members from across the political spectrum praised the late American Senator John McCain, who died Saturday, as a close friend of the Jewish state.

Israel’s Defense Minister: Goal is to remove Hamas from Gaza

Defense Minister Liberman says Abbas “wants to damage the ties between us and the Gaza Strip. It is not our fight. They are trying to drag us into their internal Palestinian squabbles.”

Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman said on Sunday that his goal is the removal of Hamas from Gaza while slamming Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas for wanting to damage ties between Israel and Gaza.

On Friday, top Hamas official, Kahlil al-Hayya, told Lebanon’s Al-Mayadeen TV that ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas are in “the final stretch.”

Fifth Hamas terror-tunnel located & destroyed by IDF

Israel thwarts Hamas’ efforts to infiltrate Israel from Gaza after destroying the 5th, and according to Israel’s Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman, “the longest and deepest one [terror-tunnel] ever uncovered.”

Over the weekend, IDF forces thwarted another terror tunnel that penetrated into Israel, it was cleared this morning for publication.

IDF Spokesperson Brigadier General Ronen Manelis said that this is the fifth tunnel that has been thwarted in Israel recently. The tunnel was foiled in the Jabaliya area.

IDF announces Beduin enlistment on upswing after declining years

IDF believes the 40% increase in 2017 of Beduin 18 yr-olds volunteering to enlist is due to Defense Ministry benefits and occupational training offered to the recruits.

After years of steady decline in the number of young Beduin volunteering to enlist in the IDF, the past year has seen a reversal of that trend manifesting in a 40% increase in 2017. Four hundred and twenty Beduin men joined the army in 2017, up from 300 in 2016, and the IDF aims to increase recruitment further, to 600, in the coming year.

Despite the fact that the number of members of the Beduin sector who choose to enlist is still objectively low, the army believes that the recruitment potential will increase significantly, even as the community experiences a processes of religious radicalization and deepening rupture with the state, especially among the southern tribes. Swiss officials have been reportedly banned from entering the Gaza Strip by Israel from via territory, following a set of meetings that apparently occurred between representatives from the country and Gaza-based Hamas group leaders, The Times of Israel reported on Wednesday.

PM Netanyahu tells Iran after missile strike on Syria, “Don’t threaten Israel”

 

Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman said Israel was not worried by the Iranian strike, being their first strike outside its own territory in nearly 30 years. “Israel is prepared for every development, we have no concerns or worries.”

Hamas rallies behind North Korea after threatening Israel

 

According to an Israeli report, Hamas welcomed North Korea’s threat against Israel saying, “Hamas condemns the Israeli attack on Pyongyang and stresses that the occupation is the leader of evil.”

The Hamas terrorist organization on Sunday thanked North Korea for issuing a threat against Israel a day earlier.

“Hamas condemns the Israeli attack on Pyongyang and stresses that the occupation is the leader of evil,” the group said, according to the Hebrew-language Walla! news website.

The Palestinian National Fund, established in 1964 by the PLO, manages the terrorist organization’s funds in its campaign to destroy the State of Israel and is used by PA to pay monthly stipends to murdering terrorists in Israeli prisons.
