Madonna negotiating terms for 2019 Eurovision in Tel Aviv

Madonna has agreed in principle to entertain at the prestigious singing competition planned to be held in Tel Aviv, however, the singer’s representatives don’t agree over the sum offered by the event’s production team.

Pop diva Madonna is reportedly in negotiations to perform at the Eurovision 2019 Song Contest due to be held next May in Tel Aviv.

Sources affiliated with the event’s production say although the singer has agreed in principle to participate, there is some disagreement over the amount of money demanded by Madonna’s representatives and the sum the show’s producers are willing to offer. Continue Reading »

Madonna seeking private kosher chef

Megastar Madonna is seeking a personal cook with “private Household/Superyacht experience” and prefers someone with experience in cooking “healthy, simple and family style” food, instead of “fine-dining.”

Madonna is advertising for a private chef who has “confident knowledge of kosher cooking.”

The pop singer is offering a yearly salary of nearly $142,000 for the personal chef to prepare the kosher meals for her and her six children and be willing to travel, the Evening Standard reported.

Madonna, 60, has residences in London, Lisbon and New York.

The advertisement, which the newspaper identifies as being placed by Madonna, is seeking someone with “private Household/Superyacht experience” and has experience in cooking “healthy, simple and family style” food instead of “fine-dining.” Continue Reading »

The 18-year-old Lourdes was spotted over the weekend taking a stroll on Tel Aviv’s Rothschild Boulevard with her boyfriend by a crew of the “Erev Tov with Guy Pines” entertainment show. Lourdes arrived in Israel without her famous mother in order to attend the wedding of her friends Julia Moshkin and Shlomi Salant, who live in New York but decided to get married in Israel. Madonna: Intolerance in France is ‘Scary, Feels Like Nazi Germany’

Int’l pop-star warns “anti-Semitism is at an all-time high” in France,”The level of intolerance is so enormous, it’s scary.”

Pop star Madonna told French radio on Thursday that “intolerance” was now so high in France and Europe that “it feels like Nazi Germany,” according to the AFP news agency.

Speaking to Europe 1 radio in an interview to be aired Friday morning, Madonna said “anti-Semitism is at an all-time high” in France and elsewhere in Europe, and likened the current atmosphere to the period when German fascism was on the ascent.

Tel Aviv resident arrested for hacking Madonna’s computer in FBI-Israel Police operation

The Israeli suspect, found in a joint int’l FBI-Lahav 433 investigation, is being charged with computer trespassing, fraud, theft, and intellectual property offenses.

A suspected Israeli hacker was arrested Wednesday on charges of hacking into the computers of Madonna and a number of other well-known artists in order to steal and distribute unreleased songs, Israel Police reported Wednesday.

The months-long international investigation, conducted between the FBI and Lahav 433, the police’s special investigation unit, led investigators to a 39-year-old Tel Aviv resident.

French right-wing leader threatens Madonna with lawsuit over swastika image

At her recent concert in Ramat Gan Stadium, Madonna performed while showing a video of Marine Le Pen with a swastika affixed to her forehead.

 

Marine Le Pen, leader of France’s National Front party, said Wednesday that she will sue Madonna if the pop superstar uses a controversial image of Le Pen in her concerts in France.

That’s it, the party’s over. Madonna’s opening concert in Ramat Gan for the MDNA tour finished before midnight, and revelers headed home and to after-parties to consider the meaning of this latest installment from the Queen of Pop.

Some Israeli reviewers were critical, pointing out that Madge showed less energy than in previous concerts — she is almost 54, said one — and wasn’t even on stage at certain times (costume changes). The Israeli crowd seemed to be taken aback by the giant cross on stage — perhaps they expected a Jewish star given her Kabbalah interests — and thought Madonna’s gun scene was a tad overstated, considering the pro-peace speech she made mid-show. Madonna adds second ‘Concert for Peace’ in Tel Aviv

Queen of pop sets additional concert date in Israel to kick off her international tour; says concert will ‘honor peace efforts in Middle East, help people come together’

 

The timeless queen of pop announced Wednesday that she would be giving a second show in Israel on May 31 for a special cause. Madonna has dubbed this new show a “Concert for Peace,” and has invited several organizations that are working for peace in the Middle East to attend.

“Music is so universal and if there’s any chance that through my performance I can bring further attention and enlightenment to honor the peace efforts in the Middle East and help people come together, it would be an honor for me,” Madonna said in a statement posted on her fan club website.
