Hamas holds 1st rally in West Bank after a 5 year ban

Following agreement between Hamas & Fatah, thousands of Hamas supporters rally in Nablus

Fatah rally will be held in Gaza in January.

Hamas held its first rally in the West Bank Thursday, after a five-year ban, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Islamist movement.

The movement’s green flags were prominent in the northern city of Nablus as thousands of people participated in the rally.

The rally was made possible after the Palestinian Authority lifted the ban enforced since June 2007 when Hamas fighters took over the Gaza Strip after a short battle with Fatah-backed security forces. Continue Reading »

IDF Shoots Palestinian who hurled firebomb in Hebron riot

Teenager who threw Molotov cocktail at IDF soldiers near checkpoint sent to local hospital with severe gunshot wound to the chest.

IDF soldiers opened fire on a 17-year-old Palestinian who apparently hurled a Molotov cocktail in their direction during clashes near the Hashoter checkpoint in Hebron Thursday evening. The Palestinian sustained severe injuries.

Palestinian sources said the youngster was hit in the chest and was evacuated to a local hospital in serious condition. The army said the soldiers operated according to standard IDF protocol for engaging a suspicious individual. Continue Reading »

The clashes between Palestinian protesters and Israeli troops continued in Hebron on Thursday as tension in the region continued to mount over the death of a local teenager.

You acted as you were trained, with courage, determination and without hesitation, as is expected of Border Guard combatants.

A Border Guard officer shot and killed a Palestinian youth Wednesday after he threatened troops stationed near the Cave of the Patriarchs in the West Bank city of Hebron, with what later turned out to be a toy gun.

An initial inquiry derived that the Palestinian walked up to the troops stationed at the checkpoint and pulled a gun on one of the officers. A female Border Guard officer noticed the event and fired at him, killing him. Continue Reading »

Abbas’ unity with Hamas now unmasks his image of a “peace partner” by binding him as a partner in Hamas’ stated goal of killing Jews and destroying Israel.

Hamas TV broadcast 10 days ago a speech by a Muslim cleric who preached, “Our mantle is death to the Jews and to America.”

IDF Soldiers: Our hands are tied with vague orders

IDF inquiry reports troops chased away by Palestinian mob in Qaddum should not have retreated. But soldier claims the troops being given intentionally vague orders from top brass.

The past week has seen two incidents involving soldiers and Palestinians causing the IDF much embarrassment. An initial investigation of an incident in the West Bank last Friday in which IDF soldiers were forced to flee a mob of stone-throwing Palestinians suggests that the troops did not act in a professional manner.

After Palestinian police began a physical confrontation with IDF soldiers patrolling Hebron, some 250 Palestinians youths began throwing rocks at the IDF force

IDF Spokeswoman: This is a serious incident, we are investigating it.

A riot broke out in Hebron on Thursday after a Palestinian mob joined Palestinian police in attacking an IDF force conducting a routine patrol in the area.

Pursuant to Abu Mazen’s incitement speech at the UN General Assembly, the Cabinet, received a special briefing on incitement in the Palestinian Authority.

The briefing was presented by Strategic Affairs Ministry Director-General Yossi Kuperwasser, the coordinator of the professional team that is monitoring the issue and which is constantly updating the “Culture of Peace and Incitement Index in the Palestinian Authority.”

Latest Palestinian charge: ‘Israel behind increase in Palestinian AIDS cases’

The unrest that plagued the West Bank over the past several days went largely uncovered by the media due to the hostilities between Israeland Gaza, but Jewish residents say the disturbances were so widespread the security forces in the region had trouble handling them.

A security camera installed by Victor Chernovsky, a resident of French Hill in Jerusalem, captured three Arabs in the act of setting fire to the Chernovsky family’s cars Tuesday night.

“Last night at 10 forty, in the Tzameret neighborhood, which is a part of French Hill, my wife and I had gone to sleep, and so had the kids,” Chernovsky told Arutz Sheva. “Suddenly I heard the dog barking and there was an explosion. Video shows Arabs Burning ‘First Temple Cedars of Lebanon’

In attempts to destroy Jewish history Arabs are burning ancient beams of wood that had apparently been used during the period of the Holy Temple.

A group of Jews that ascended the Temple Mount Sunday were shocked to see that ancient beams of wood that had apparently been used during the period of the Holy Temple were being used as firewood by Arabs on the Mount, and off it. Archaeologists have dated the wood as far back as the First Temple period, and appear to be among the celebrated “Cedars of Lebanon” mentioned in the Tanach.

Arab Olive Tree Vandals ‘caught on tape’ by Jewish Film Crew

Volunteers filmed a group of Arabs & anarchists uprooting olive trees near Ateret in Binyamin, apparently planning to blame Jews

Volunteers from the grassroots Binyamin Residents’ Council on Wednesday caught a group of Arabs and anarchists uprooting olive trees near the town of Ateret in Binyamin. Apparently, the group was planning to cause damage to an olive grove belonging to an Arab farmer, and blame it on Jews from the area.

The volunteers filmed footage of the group as it was destroying the trees, filming its members for several minutes, until one of the group noticed they were being recorded. Continue Reading »
