A family from Syria’s war-torn Aleppo is appealing to the state of Israel for refuge, citing their Jewish heritage, Amy Radio reported Sunday.

Switzerland arrested 2 Syrian nationals planning chemical terror attack

 

Two men with Syrian passports nabbed on suspicions of transporting ‘explosives & toxic gases’ in Geneva, possibly for an attack on the UN headquarters.

Swiss authorities said Saturday that two people of Syrian origin had been arrested on suspicion of transporting “explosives and toxic gases” as part of a probe into a terror threat.

The two suspects arrested Friday are accused of the “manufacture, concealment and transport of explosives and toxic gases,” the federal prosecutor’s office said in a statement.

They are also under suspicion of violating Swiss law prohibiting “groups like Al Qaeda, Islamic State and similar organisations,” it added. Continue Reading »

9 members of a Jewish family were recently smuggled from Syria into Israel in a very secretive mission, to begin a better life.

A Syrian-Jewish family has been secretly smuggled into Israel and out of harms way in a dramatic rescue operation, it was cleared for publication Thursday.

This was the first time in over three years of the Syrian civil war that a Jewish family has left the war-torn country for Israel. Israeli Druze Join Assad vs. Israeli Arabs Join the Rebels

Israeli citizens are volunteering on both sides of Syria’s civil war. Golan Druze mostly support Assad while Israeli Arabs largely favor the rebel forces.

There are Israelis fighting on both sides of Syria’s civil war. While it has been known for months that some Israeli Arab men have entered Syria to join  rebel armies, Walla news is now reporting that several Druze men have snuck into Syria as well, to fight alongside President Bashar Assad’s forces.

Among them is 24 year-old Nadim Kadmani, who entered Syria illegally in 2012. Israeli police searched for him for weeks, until he phoned his parents and revealed that he was in Syria, and had been unable to make contact because he was being questioned by Assad’s forces. Continue Reading »
