Israeli company supplies clean water to Syria

The Multifaith Alliance for Syrian Refugees is using the Israeli company, Watergen for its innovative technology that supplies fresh and mineral-enriched drinking water from the air.

Water is a basic and necessary component of life. But for millions of people in Syria, a country that has been torn apart by a devastating civil war for more than a decade, there is no access to clean water, which causes the spread of preventable diseases and death.

The humanitarian aid organization, Multifaith Alliance for Syrian Refugees, has found a way to meet the water needs of the Syrian people by using Watergen technology, developed by the Israeli company that produces clean and mineral-enriched drinking water from the air, powered by solar energy. Israeli shoe manufacturer sends 2,000 sandals to Syrian refugees

The donation of 2,000 pairs of sandals to Syrian children by Teva Naot, estimated at $70,000, was delivered by the NGO Israel Flying Aid.

As Assad retakes Golan Heights, IDF closes Field Clinic for internal refugees

IDF closes it’s Golan Heights medical field clinic, the Mazor Ladach, that had provided treatment to some 6,800 displaced and deprived Syrians that had no access to medical help or medicines in their war-torn country.

A field clinic built by the IDF and providing care to injured Syrians has been closed, the IDF’s Spokesperson’s Unit announced on Friday.

The Mazor Ladach (whose name translates into Bandaging Those In Need) was a field clinic opened in August 2017 and located in an unused military post in the southern Golan Heights on the Syrian border.

40 ill Syrian mothers & children enter Israel for medical treatment

Unlike ‘Operation Good Neighbor’ where injured Syrians have been treated in Israel, the IDF begins ‘Operation Doctor’s Appointment’ with more than 40 sick mothers & children with chronic health problems cross the Golan Heights in pre-dawn hours for a day’s treatment in an Israeli hospital.

Keeping a doctor’s appointment in Israel, Syrian children and their mothers stepped across a tense Golan Heights border in the dead of night under the watchful gaze of Israeli soldiers.

IDF renders life-saving treatment to 6 Syrians before transport to Israeli hospitals

Four Syrian children, 2 adults were given initial life-saving treatment by IDF soldiers in the field before being transferred to a hospital.

The IDF transferred six wounded Syrians, including four young children, to Israeli hospitals for treatment on Saturday, just one day after the military announced it would not allow entry to Syrians fleeing the regime offensive yet will continue providing humanitarian aid.

IDF trucks in tons of humanitarian aid in overnight operation to Syria

Syrian Refugees Seeking Safety By Migrating to Israel’s Border

No longer believing that the Israelis are the bloodthirsty and merciless enemy, fleeing Syrian civilians are escaping the regime’s latest bombardments by seeking a safe-haven along side Israel’s Golan Heights.

Syrian civilians fleeing a fresh military offensive by their own government and its Russian allies have begun massing on the border of Israel’s Golan Heights.

They say that being as close as possible to Israeli forces is the safest place to be, presumably because Syrian dictator Bashar Assad and Russia are wary of drawing Israel further into the country’s bloody civil war.

Syrian refugee baby born in Cyprus flown to Israel for successful heart surgery

Israeli surgeons successfully operate on a 3 days-old Syrian baby boy, suffering from a serious congenital heart defect.
• Baby and his Syrian refugee father were air-lifted in after Cypriot Health Ministry requested Israel’s help.

Doctors in central Israel performed a successful operation on Sunday on a Syrian baby who had been flown to Israel from Cyprus three weeks ago for urgent medical treatment.

The baby is recovering and is said to be in stable condition.

“Operation Good Neighbor”: IDF’s effort to provide humanitarian aid to the Syrians

IDF’s “Operation Good Neighbor,” first revealed this past July, was initiated as an ad-hoc solution to treat Syrians who came to Israel’s border fence seeking immediate medical attention from IDF soldiers, then expanded into an organized governmental mission in June 2016, as Syria’s humanitarian needs grew.

US envoy Jason Greenblatt: World should know Israel treats thousands of wounded Syrians

In a US Embassy statement, about 3,500 Syrian injured have sought and received treated in Israeli hospitals, including over 1,000 at Ziv Medical Center in Israel’s Galilee.

The world should hear about Israel’s quality treatment of Syrian patients in its hospitals, US Special Representative for International Negotiations Jason Greenblatt said on Tuesday after visiting Ziv Medical Center in Safed.

Israel admits to sending tons of food, clothing, fuel and aid to Syrian refugees

The IDF revealed that it has been providing humanitarian aid, including half a million liters of diesel fuel and dozens of generators to about 200,000 Syrian citizens living in 80 villages and towns in the Syrian Golan Heights that is controlled by ‘friendly’ rebel groups, not affiliated with ISIS.

IDF Radio reports: Aleppo family claiming to be Jewish asks Israel to extricate them

A family from Syria’s war-torn Aleppo is appealing to the state of Israel for refuge, citing their Jewish heritage, Amy Radio reported Sunday.

Israel Hospitals threaten to end Syrian refugee treatment over lack of gov’t funding

 

Although the gov’t has partially paid, Israel’s Health Minister has ordered hospitals to stop treating Syrian refugees [if not life-threatening] starting next week, if Jerusalem doesn’t allocate funds to allay the financial burden.

Hospitals are warning that they will cease to admit wounded Syrian refugees for treatment starting next week, if the government does not help to provide assistance to allay the financial costs involved.
