IDF Bolsters Borders with Lebanon & Syria Against Potential Hezbollah Attacks

 

The IDF is being ultra-cautious since the air strike on Sunday that killed 6 Hezbollah & 6 Iranian Revolutionary Guards senior commanders near Quneitra, in the Syrian Golan Heights.

The IDF will increase its presence in northern communities throughout Thursday. As a result, local residents will see an increase in military traffic in their areas.

The measures are aimed at preparing the IDF for potential Hezbollah attacks.

IDF Places Northern Border Communities on Alert After Suspicious Movement in Lebanon

Israel’s Air Force on high alert, along with artillery batteries, infantry & armored units added along Israel’s northern border as IDF evaluates situation.
• Chief of General Staff Gantz cancels plans to attend NATO summit in Europe.

 

The IDF identified suspicious activity on the Lebanese side of the northern border fence on Wednesday evening, leading to road closures and local communities being put on alert.

A new application for Google Glassware provides immediate, real-time status on missile attacks. The alerts provide the time & location of the attack, giving users the time to take cover.

Rockets have been raining down on Israeli cities at a rate of over 100 a day for the past week. Although the Iron Dome anti-missile system has been able to intercept a large majority of those projectiles and prevent serious damage, some of them did get through, injuring civilians. Even when Iron Dome is able to destroy the incoming rocket, debris from the rocket and the interceptor fall and scatter over a large area – something that might prove lethal for unsheltered civilians. Israel Air Force scrambles jets due to unidentified aircraft

Just like last week, Israeli fighter jets thundered over Tel Aviv on their way to intercept a suspicious signal which again, turned out to be a flock of birds.

 

Israel Air Force fighter jets were scrambled on Saturday morning to north and south Israel, apparently because of an unidentified aircraft that entered Israeli airspace. IDF Spokesman declined to comment, saying it does not provide detail on IAF activity.

Jerusalem under ‘High’ terror alert

Police, Firefighters and Magen David Adom emergency personal placed under high level of alert after warning of possible terrorist attack

Security forces in Jerusalem raised their alert level on Tuesday following a general warning of a possible terror attack in the capital.

Police, firefighters and Magen David Adom emergency crews were instructed to raise their alert level.

Jerusalem Fire Department spokesman Asaf Abras said the order to raise the level of alertness was given by Jerusalem District police chief in light of a security warning.
