Strong UN Bias as Israel Only Nation Condemned for Women’s Right Violations

WATCH: Israeli envoy Ron Prosor slams UN Commission on the Status of Women for ignoring serious global problems concerning women’s rights to attack Israel over Palestinians.

Out of nine official documents produced from the UN’s annual Commission on the Status of Women report, only one of the UN’s 193 members were mentioned in regards to ongoing infringement of women’s rights – Israel – in what Jerusalem says in another case of UN bias.

The document, titled the “Situation of and assistance to Palestinian women”, slams Israel for the ongoing occupation of the West Bank, a situation which it says has led to “(h)igh levels of unemployment and poverty” among Palestinians, especially women. Continue Reading »

Kerry Tells UN Human Rights Council They’re Obsessed With “Unbalanced Focus” on Israel

“We will oppose any group within the UN system (attempting) to regularly and arbitrarily de-legitimize Israel,” the top US diplomat warns the council in Geneva.

NGO Monitor: Time the UN Should Investigate its Own Incompetence and Bias

With United Nation’s constant revelations of ‘incompetence & bias’ on display in the world’s media, Israelis demand the world body take a good look in the mirror.

Following the revelation that the appointed head of the UN commission of inquiring into last summer’s Gaza war had previous associations with the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Jerusalem-based research institute NGO Monitor suggested that the world body investigate its own ineptitude and overriding prejudice against the Jewish state.

“The United Nations should suspend its investigation into Israel and immediately investigate the disturbing revelations of its own incompetence and bias,” read a press release by NGO Monitor.

WATCH: UN’s inquiry chief into Gaza conflict, William Schabas to resign

Geneva Conference urges Israel to respect human rights in ‘Palestinian territories’

Conference snubbed by the United States, Israel, Australia, and Canada over blatant anti-Israel bias.

Over 120 states participating in the Geneva Convention conference on Wednesday called Israel to respect human rights in the Palestinian territories including the Gaza Strip, West Bank and East Jerusalem.

A conference on respect for international human rights in the Palestinian territories was shunned by Israel and the United States, as well as Canada and Australia.

Switzerland gathered diplomats from 126 of the 196 signatories of the Geneva Conventions to discuss protections for civilians, fulfilling a five-year-old request for such a conference from the UN General Assembly. Continue Reading »

Syria: Frustration & Outright Disgust

 

Whether or not the US or the int’l community ultimately punish Syria, it is evident that the thousands of dead Syrian bodies mean little to the UN, the EU, the BDS people and the like.

LONDON/BERLIN – A British-funded institute in Jerusalem has come under fire for hosting an event supporting the boycott, divestment and sanctions campaign against Israel (BDS), along with a UN staff member who circulated its details in an official email to co-workers.

In March, the Kenyon Institute, also known as the British School of Archaeology, hosted an event titled “The emergence of the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement” – a campaign led by radical anti-Israel activists also known as BDS – at its East Jerusalem headquarters.
