Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon sent a letter to the UN Security Council demanding condemnation of the latest anti-Semitic remarks by Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas.

Israel weights withdrawing candidacy on United Nation Security Council

Israel is expected to withdraw its candidacy for a place on the UN Security Council since the Foreign Ministry pointed out Israel’s victory against Germany, Belgium, after failing to launch a campaign for the seat, is now highly unlikely.

Israel is expected to withdraw its bid for a seat on the c Security Council that it had hoped to secure for the first time this June, with chances of winning considered slim.
