The anti-BDS resolution, passed by the Austrian National Union of Students, was nearly unanimous with no opposing votes and only a single abstention to the pledge ‘never to remain silent when antisemitism appears.’
By BENJAMIN WEINTHAL
The Austrian National Union of Students passed on Friday a motion against BDS, saying that the boycott movement targeting Israel is antisemitic, and that its demands recall the Nazis’ economic war against Jewish businesses.
It is believed to be the first time an Austrian national student union has passed such a resolution.
The Austrian Jewish students group announced on its Facebook page: “We are very happy to announce that the Austrian Students Union is the first national student union to officially pass a resolution denouncing BDS and also passing a version of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance – IHRA definition of antisemitism. BY AMY SPIRO
Ian Halperin’s past films have focused on Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Kurt Cobain and even Brad and Angelina.
But the Canadian celebrity journalist’s latest movie puts the lens on a topic that transcends Hollywood: contemporary antisemitism. The film, Wish You Weren’t Here, premiering next week in Canada, focuses mostly on musician Roger Waters, who has become one of the most vocal and visible supporters of the boycott Israel movement. Pink Floyd’s ninth studio album, from 1975, was titled Wish You Were Here. Continue Reading »
No equivocation here: Billy Joel openly protesting the growing visibility of neo-Nazi and antisemitic hate speech in the United States by publicly and proudly identifying himself as Jewish.
By AMY SPIRO
He’s not known for making big statements with his wardrobe. But during his concert in Madison Square Garden last night, Billy Joel came on stage for an encore wearing a very noticeable yellow Star of David on his suit lapel.
Joel was reportedly protesting the growing visibility of neo-Nazi and antisemitic hate speech in the United States – and the equivocation on the topic by US President Donald Trump. Continue Reading »
The UAE cleric also accused the late Israeli president and prime minister Shimon Peres, of controlling Al-Jazeera by working ‘hand in hand’ with the Qatar-based network.
Prominent United Arab Emirates cleric, Wassim Yousuf, slammed the Qatar-based news outlet Al-Jazeera in a TV interview last month, accusing it of being supported by Israel and a “weapon of the Jews.”
The statement comes amid a diplomatic crisis with Qatar and Arab Gulf states, who shut-down the network following a total blockade of the country for its alleged ties with extremists.
In the latest string of accusations against the news outlet, Yousuf claimed on Abu Dhabi TV that Al-Jazeera was being controlled by Israel, and more specifically worked “hand in hand” with Israel’s late president and former Prime Minister Shimon Peres, reported the Times of Israel on Saturday. In a blow to the BDS movement, 2 UK universities cancel the events of the anti-Israel ‘Apartheid Week’ based on Britain’s recently adopted definition of anti-Semitism, that includes incitement against Jews by demonizing Israel.
By Itamar Eichner
The University of Central Lancashire and University College London in Britain were forced to cancel the Israel Apartheid Week events, which were supposed to take place next week, following the intervention of Friends of Israel associations in the UK.
The cancellation of these events is part of the struggle against the Israel boycott movement on campuses.

The main reason for the cancellation is the fact that Britain has recently adopted a new definition of anti-Semitism that also includes incitement against Jews in the form of the demonization of Israel. Continue Reading »
In following America’s lead, Britain’s new definition of antisemitism looks like the UK is returning to its overtly pro-Israel policies of years long gone.
By Tsvi Sadan
The love-hate relationship between the UK and Israel is well known.
One could dwell on the many setbacks of British policy toward the Jewish state. The 1937 partition plan proposed by the Peel Commission, the infamous 1939 White Paper that restricted Jewish immigration to mandatory Palestine, and the present anti-Israel vitriolic from Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.
These are sufficient examples of British hate toward the Israel.
But Britain has another side, the one that has produced the 1917 Balfour Declaration that proved foundational to the rebirth of the Jewish state. Continue Reading »

Public Services and Procurement Minister Judy Foote, who oversees Canada Post, made the decision less than two months after a human rights complaint accused the government and the postal service of “regularly and knowingly delivering misogynist, racist, anti-Jewish, anti-Muslim, and homophobic hate propaganda.”
Today’s Europe has frightening comparisons with Hitler’s rise to power, as once again, Judeo-Christian foundations are crumbling all about us.

We’ve been here before. History is repeating itself and I’m again experiencing that sense of déjà vu that prompted me (just ten days ago) to write about the anti-Semitism row within the British Labour Party in the context of Theodor Herzl’s Zionist campaign, which itself was prompted by anti-Jewish mania.
Labour Leader, Jeremy Corbyn

As some Palestinian leaders want normalization, and send holiday wishes, other Palestinians, that have sadly been breastfed & raised on the indoctrination of hatred from PA-TV, schools and social media, ardently opposed any ‘Holliday Blessings to Jews.’

A senior member of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and the ruling Fatah faction (and therefore of the Palestinian Authority) extended Passover greetings to Israelis on Sunday, sparking a wave of angry reactions by Palestinians.
Mohammed al-Madani is head of the Palestinian Committee for Interaction with Israeli Society, so it is his job to issue such statements.
But a growing number of Palestinians don’t want normalization and friendly relations with Israel, and so view al-Madani and his overtures as traitorous to the Palestinian cause. Continue Reading »
