Nabbed: Bulgarian officials arrest 3 Iranians with fake Israeli Passports

Once again it remains unclear how Iranians successfully traveled throughout Turkey unnoticed with counterfeit Israeli Passports or why they too sought to gain entry into Bulgaria posing as Israelis.

Three Iranians traveling with fake Israeli passports were detained in Bulgaria over the weekend, according to a report at The Sofia Globe.

According to the report, the men were detained at the Bulgarian border as they were attempting to cross the Kapitan Andreevo crossing into Turkey, which is the major transit point for entering Europe.

The three men, aged 21, 28 and 32 arrived on October 31 and carried Israeli passports that had been “falsified,” the Interior Ministry told the Bulgarian media. Continue Reading »

Tunisia’s PM Appoints Jewish Minister of Tourism

Appointed by the Tunisian Prime Minister, the new tourism minister Roni Trabelsi, will be the second Jewish minister to have ever served in the predominantly Muslim country, after Nessim Samama, who served as the finance minister to the King of Tunis in 1860.

Tunisian Prime Minister Youssef Chahed announced 13 new appointments in his Cabinet on Monday, including several ministers. The new tourism minister is Roni Trabelsi, a Jewish man who reportedly lives in France but also holds Tunisian citizenship.

Trabelsi is a prominent and successful businessman in Tunisia, dealing mostly with tourism. He owns the Royal First Travel agency. Continue Reading »

Palestinian Official: ‘Israel stole our snake’

After Israel chose the daboia palaestinae to be its national snake, the Palestinian Authority protested the move, calling it an act of ‘theft’ and an affront to preserve ‘Palestinian identity’.

Last Thursday, Israel’s Society for the Protection of Nature and the Israel Nature and Parks Authority named the Palestine viper as Israel’s national snake.

The Palestine viper, or daboia palaestinae, was selected based on an online vote.

Found across the Levant, from the northern Negev and western Jordan in the south to northern Lebanon and central Syria in the north, the snake is common throughout most of Israel, and in Hebrew is referred to as the ‘common viper’, or ‘common Land of Israel viper’. Continue Reading »

White House Supports Plan to Link Mid-East Arab States & Israel by Rail

President Trump’s special mid-East envoy Jason Greenblatt tweeted his support for the rail line Israel’s Minister of Transportation proposed during his historic visit to Oman, linking Israel’s ports on the Mediterranean to Jordan, Saudi Arabia & the Gulf States.

Israel responds to Palestinian threats should Arabs sell land to Jews in Jerusalem

After Palestinian Authority’s autocrat leader Mahmoud Abbas began a campaign against east Jerusalem resident on suspicion of selling land or property to Jews, Israel’s security forces raided the Palestinian General Intelligence offices, confiscating the office’s computers & documents that detailed the PA’s racist and apartheid activities.

Ben & Jerry’s Israel released a statement Wednesday distancing itself from a new flavor of ice cream in the United States that has stirred up controversy.

On Tuesday, the global company announced it was launching a new flavor titled “Pecan Resist.” The limited edition ice cream – chocolate with fudge, pecans, walnuts and almonds – “supports groups creating a more just and equitable nation for us all, and who are fighting President Trump’s regressive agenda,” the company said. Senior Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) official Hanan Ashrawi on Friday condemned Brazilian President-elect Jair Bolsonaro’s announcement that he would move his country’s Israel embassy to Jerusalem.

“These are provocative and illegal steps that will only destabilize security and stability in the region,” Ashrawi, a member of the PLO executive committee, told AFP.
