Barak: Peace deal with Palestinians is impossible at this time

Israel’s Defense Minister says at AIPAC conference in Washington, ‘fully fledged agreement is not reasonable’ and suggests interim agreement  for immediate future. ‘If that is unobtainable we should consider unilateral action,’ Barak added.

WASHINGTON – Defense Minister Ehud Barak made a surprising statement Sunday when he said that a “fully fledged” peace deal with the Palestinians was currently impossible.

Report: Obama Wants Timetable of IDF Withdrawal from Judea & Samaria

U.S. President Barack Obama has demanded a timetable for an Israeli withdrawal from Judea and Samaria, according to an unconfirmed report by World Tribune.

The report quotes anonymous “Israeli sources.”

According to the report, Obama, who is scheduled to arrive in Israel on March 20, wants Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to present him with a detailed Israeli withdrawal plan during his visit to Israel. A plague of locusts descended Saturday on agricultural farms in Giza and on Cairo. Egyptian Agricultural Minister Salah Abad Almoman said the swarm is comprised of an estimated 30 million insects and was causing great damage.

In Cairo, residents burned tires to create a black fog to keep the locusts from settling in the city. Swarms were also reported to have reached Egypt‘s Red Sea city of Zafarana, some 200 kilometers (124 miles) from Cairo, and then the Upper Egyptian city of Qena where locusts appeared in at least three major villages. Arab Tries to Stab 2 Police Officers

 

Male & female Border Police officers were searching a suspicious man who then turned to stab them.

An Arab terrorist attempted to stab a male and female Border Police team Sunday evening at a checkpoint near Tayibeh, in central Israel. He was arrested and did not succeed in hurting anyone.

The man was driving a car that held several other passengers. He aroused the suspicion of the Border Police team and they asked him to identify himself.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met with the leadership of Shas on Sunday, telling them that the pact between Bayit Yehudi chairman Naftali Bennett and Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid was currently preventing him from adding Shas to the coalition.

The surface of the lake rose by four centimeters over the weekend, according to Water Authority officials. Over the Purim holiday last week, the water level rose by two centimeters, and by four centimeters more over the prior weekend due to Sabbath rains.

A woman in her 50s was arrested over the weekend for allegedly running a prostitution ring in Afula, Yedioth Ahronoth reported Sunday.

The woman, nicknamed “Jezreel Valley madame,” has has been convicted several times but never jailed, and allegedly kept operating her business, lately even expanding it.

The woman is suspected of renting three Afula apartments and using them as brothels, each apartment housing several prostitutes, with a man stationed outside to watch out for the police and alert those inside in case of a raid. Continue Reading »

PA accusation: Arab Collaborators murdered prisoner Jaradat

The PA Prisoners Affair Ministry reports that prisoner Jaradat was transferred to a cell with Palestinian ‘collaborators’ to elicit his confession.
