Have Israel’s Hands Been Tied by the Palestinians?

Egypt is far from being the only country to support the militant group. It is no longer a secret that Hamas is also backed by Iran and the Gulf states (particularly Qatar).

By Elizabeth Blade

On Sunday, several foreign and Israeli news outlets reported that the radical Gaza-based group Hamas was preparing to take over the West Bank, determined to oust the current Western-backed Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas.

According to reports, the Islamists were emboldened by their recent war with Israel and the alleged victory that followed.

Militants claimed that Israel failed to cripple their ability (and will) to launch attacks against civilian targets, with some going as far as to suggest that Hamas left the battleground if not victorious, then at least stronger diplomatically. Continue Reading »

Arabs from the Gulf states find solace confiding to Israeli ‘shrinks’

Why would an Arab woman in Lebanon, Qatar, or even Syria use the Internet to find an Israeli psychologist because her husband is running around with a ‘girlfriend’?

A quick Google search is enough to reveal that Dr. Rafael Richman is a psychologist based in the German Colony of Jerusalem. But many of his online patients would rather not know that.

Israel’s Newspaper Haaretz, resurrects the erroneous Khazar Jews theory

The advocates of the theory tying the origins of European Jewry to the Khazar kingdom are motivated mainly by a hostile political agenda that aims to advance the delegitimization of the Jewish State of Israel.

By Dore Gold

Every number of years the theory is advanced that the Jews of Europe are actually descendants of the Khazar kingdom, a mostly Turkic people whose king and nobility converted to Judaism in the early eighth century, allowing them to become a buffer state between Islam and Christendom.

When the Khazar kingdom collapsed in the 13th century, according to the believers in the Khazar theory, its population fled into Eastern Europe and served as the core of European Jewry. Continue Reading »

Jews & Human Rights In Europe: The Unfulfilled Promises

There is a genuine risk that core Jewish religious practices may come under attack through the European Court of Human Rights.  A verdict against circumcision in that court would apply in all 47 member states of the Council of Europe (including the U.K., France, Russia, and Ukraine).

Seventy years ago, on December 17 1942, British Foreign Minister Sir Anthony Eden reported to the House of Commons that the Jews of Germany and German-occupied Eastern Europe were being systematically starved and murdered.  He read a declaration by the Allies (named by Franklin Delano Roosevelt the “United Nations”) condemning this “bestial policy.”   Continue Reading »

Lieberman on Abbas’ Repeated Threats: Please Quit, We Can’t Wait

Lieberman welcomes Abbas’ threat to step down. “We congratulate [Abbas] for reaching the correct conclusion”

By Maayana Miskin

Yisrael Beiteinu head Avigdor Lieberman, until recently the Foreign Minister, reacted with joy Friday as Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas threatened to quit if negotiations do not resume. According to Lieberman, Israel “can’t wait” for Abbas to follow through on his threat.

“We congratulate Abu Mazen [Abbas] for reaching the correct conclusion, that only his leave from the PA leadership will allow the diplomatic process to resume,” Lieberman said.
