A rocket fired from the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip exploded in the western Negev town of Sderot Wednesday morning.

No physical injuries have been reported, but there was damage to a residential neighborhood and a number of people are being treated for shock. The rocket is said to have exploded in between two homes at around 10:20 a.m.

Gaza rocket hits Israel in open area, no injuries or damages reported

 

IDF sources reported the “Red Alert” siren was not activated since it was tracked heading towards an open area.

A rocket from Gaza was fired on Wednesday evening towards southern Israel.

The rocket exploded in an open area of the Sha’ar Hanegev Regional Council, causing no physical injuries or damages. Security forces are searching the area.

Military sources said that the “Red Alert” siren was not activated before the rocket exploded due to the fact that it was headed towards an open area.

Rocket and mortar fire from Gaza has continued to “trickle” into Israel on occasion.

A rocket fired by Gaza terrorists shortly after midnight on Monday night exploded in an open area in the Shaar Hanegev region of southern Israel.

There were no physical injuries or damages.

On Friday night, four rockets from Gaza hit open areas in the city of Sderot. In this incident, as well, there were no physical injuries or damages.

The Israeli Air Force retaliated for Friday’s attack by striking four targets inside Gaza on Saturday.

IAF retaliates for rockets fired on Israel, Palestinian killed

 

When Israel struck 4 Hamas targets in Gaza for firing several rockets into Israeli communities late Friday night, 10 yr-old Yasmin Abu Khoussa, whose home is near a Hamas training camp, was unintentionally killed by flying shrapnel. IDF units are searching the area for the projectile. There were no injuries in the attack. Rocket sirens sounded in the Sha’ar Hanegev Regional Council in the area before the rocket fell.

Earlier, citizens in the area reported hearing an explosion.

A rocket that was fired by Gaza terrorists on Sunday evening, shortly after 11:00 p.m., exploded in an open area of the Eshkol Regional Council in southern Israel.

There were no physical injuries or damages. An IDF official noted that the “Red Alert” incoming rocket siren was not sounded due to the fact that the rocket hit an open region.
