Palestinian protesters & fishermen will try to reach the open seas of the Mediterranean to remind the world Gaza is still under closure.

The activists are expecting Israel’s Navy to interfere, but say they will not confront seamen.

Hamas finds itself increasingly isolated and under pressure after the fall of its Muslim Brotherhood patrons in Egypt, the combined Israeli-Egyptian effort to shut down Gaza’s smuggling and terror tunnels, and Iran’s newfound reluctance to fund the group.

2 day-old lion cubs die in Gaza zoo

“The lions named Fajr and Sijil died today due to a deterioration of their health at birth,” Shadi Hamad, supervisor of animals at the Hamas-run Bissan park told AFP.

Gaza in Deep Sewage, Hamas Refuses to Buy Fuel

Under Egyptian Siege, and no longer able to smuggle stolen or cheap fuel via tunnels, and refusing to pay taxes to PA on purchased fuel, raw sewage is flooding Gaza City neighborhood, with 13 more sewage stations close to overflowing because pumps aren’t running.

Raw sewage has flooded streets in a southern neighborhood of Gaza City in recent days, threatening a health disaster, writes the New York Times. The reason: cheap diesel fuel can no longer be smuggled in from Egypt, because Egypt’s army has shut down the smuggling tunnels that connected Gaza with Sinai.

The granddaughter of Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh was returned from an Israeli hospital to the Gaza Strip on Tuesday reportedly in a state of “clinical death” after Israeli doctors were unable to save her, AFP cited Palestinian sources as saying Monday.

Israel Air Force Responds to Gaza Mortar Attacks on Israel

According to a report by Hamas, Israeli military attacked empty building. Gaza reports no casualties.

The Israel Air Force launched a strike in the Gaza Strip near the area of Khan Yunis on Tuesday. This marks the second Israeli strike in Gaza in a week.

According to a report by Hamas, the Israel Defense Forces attacked an abandoned building. No casualties were reported.

Hamas Boasts Gaza Ready For Next War With IDF

Hamas military spokesman claimed terrorist organization is ready for their next battle with Israel…just before the IAF destroyed hidden rocket launchers in Gaza in retaliation for shooting mortars into southern Israel.

Abu Ubaida, spokesman of the Al-Qassam Brigade, military arm of Hamas which rules Gaza, said “we’re ready for the next battle.” The statement came just before the latest Gaza clash broke out Thursday afternoon.

According to Ubaida, Hamas is working to develop new methods to surprise and attack “the Zionist enemy.”

Egypt’s closure of Hamas’ smuggling tunnels worsens unemployment in Gaza

The UN said on Tuesday it had halted work on all but one of its 20 Gaza building projects as a result of an Israeli ban on importing building materials into the Palestinian enclave.

Israel imposed the ban after discovering on October 13 a 2.5-kilometer (1.5-mile) tunnel which it said militants planned to use for attacks inside its territory. Islamist Hamas, which has run the Gaza Strip since 2007, claimed it dug the tunnel.

I got a phone call from a friend asking if I wanted to photograph a wedding in Gaza. I told him I wasn’t interested but when he told me the groom was 15 years old and the bride was one year younger than him, I rushed to the location immediately.

Gaza‘s lone power plant shut its generators on Friday due to a fuel shortage, a move that will likely increase already long blackout hours in the impoverished coastal territory run by the Islamist Hamas group.

Chairman of the Gaza Energy Authority Fathy Asheik-Khalil said the plant, which serves almost half of Gaza’s 1.8 million people, went offline after fuel became too scarce.
