IAF Airstrike Kills 3 Gaza Terrorists After Firing Mortars on Israel

Three Islamic Jihad terrorists killed by Israeli Air Force strike after they fired mortars at Israeli soldiers.

Three people were killed in an Israeli Air Force (IAF) strike in southern Gaza, according to medics quoted by AFP Tuesday.

Al Arabiya said that the strike took place in southern Gaza.

“Three martyrs have died in a Zionist (Israeli) strike east of Rafah,” Gaza Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra told AFP.

The IDF Spokesman’s Unit announced that the people killed were terrorists from the Islamic Jihad organization. They had fired mortar shells at IDF soldiers performing “routine operational activities” in the Kerem Shalom area. Continue Reading »

After almost two days, Hezbollah admitted Wednesday that an airstrike in Lebanon widely attributed to Israel did hit one of its bases on the Lebanon-Syria border, but insisted that no one had been killed, and vowed revenge.

It seems Israeli defense officials are preparing accordingly. In any case, Hezbollah is not expected to react immediately. Lebanese websites have attributed the attack to the Israel Air Force, though neither Israel nor Hezbollah have commented.

Is it safe to believe Lebanese reports of a midnight airstrike against Hezbollah targets near the Lebanese-Syrian border last night, and it is safe to infer the IAF was behind it.

Judging by the quantity and level of accuracy of the reports in the Lebanese media, it is safe to infer that there was indeed a strike against targets on the ground on Monday night, likely on both sides of the Lebanese-Syrian border. One can also assume, judging by the nature of the reports, that there was intensive Israel Air Force activity during those hours.

Israel Air Force Hits Hezbollah Post in Lebanon on Syrian Border

Israeli planes launch two post-midnight air raids against a Hezbollah weapons post on Lebanon’s border  with Syria.

Aircraft belonging to the Israeli Air Force (IAF) launched two air raids against a Hezbollah post on the border between Lebanon and Syria on Monday evening, a security source told the Lebanese Daily Star.

The source said Israeli planes launched four rockets on the Janta area in the mountains separating the Lebanese village of Nabi Sheet from the Syrian border.

According to the statement, the airstrikes targeted a weapons facility and a terrorist center in northern Gaza, as well as a weapons storage site in southern Gaza.

The targets hit were a military compound and a terror infrastructure site, said an IDF spokesperson, adding that both targets were accurately hit.
