10 Syrian Soldiers Killed in Israel’s Retaliatory Airstrikes

Damascus moaning over Jerusalem’s response to the spillover, after IDF retaliatory measures for explosion in Golan Heights leave 10 soldiers dead.

At least 10 Syrian soldiers were killed in Israeli overnight air raids on positions near the Golan Heights, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) monitoring group said on Monday.

“At least 10 Syrian soldiers were killed in Israeli raids against military positions [near the Golan – ed.],” SOHR said Monday. “Nine missiles were fired by aircraft and at least two tanks and two artillery batteries were destroyed.”

On Sunday, Syrian soldiers fired a mortar shell or other explosive into the Golan, killing a 15 year-old boy and seriously injuring several Israelis, including a civilian subcontractor for the Ministry of Defense. Continue Reading »

The strikes were carried out shortly after midnight. Nine targets belonging to the Syrian military were hit, among them command centers, according to a statement released by the IDF Spokesman.

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) launched airstrikes on several targets in Gaza on Wednesday night.

According to the IDF, the airstrikes targeted a concealed rocket launcher and two terrorist centers in northern Gaza. Two terrorist centers in central Gaza were targeted as well.

Direct hits were identified, and all aircraft returned safely to their bases, said the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit.

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) targeted several terrorist-related sites in Gaza on Monday night.

In a statement, the IDF Spokesperson said the airstrikes targeted a center of terrorist activity and a weapons storage site in southern Gaza, as well as two other weapons storage sites, one in central Gaza and one in northern Gaza.

Direct hits at the targets were identified and all aircraft returned safely to their bases, the statement indicated.

The Israeli Air Force’s offensive capabilities will quadruple by the end of 2014, IAF commander Maj.-Gen. Amir Eshel said last week.

In a single day, Israeli planes will be able to strike thousands of terror targets and expand the IDF’s achievements during extended operations.

An Israeli warplane struck the northern Gaza Strip on Wednesday wounding six people, one very seriously, the territory’s Hamas rulers said.

The raid came as thousands took to the streets of Gaza City to celebrate the announcement by Hamas and the PLO of an agreement to form a unity government to end seven years of divided administration. There seems to be no direct connection between the two developments.

Israel Strikes Gaza after being hit by 7 Gaza rockets

 

IDF retaliates to Gaza’s firing salvo of seven rockets into southern Israel.

Six rockets fired from the Gaza Strip exploded in southern Israel on Monday morning. One of the missiles hit a street in the city of Sderot, causing damage but no injuries.

The Israel Air Force  responded by attacking two targets in the southern Gaza Strip and other targets in the center. Direct strikes on the targets were reported and all aircraft returned safely to base, according to the Israel Defense Forces spokesman.

Gaza’s Ministry of Interior announced that two Palestinian security officers were injured in an airstrike on the al-Nuseirat refugee camp.

Sudan says it foiled local spy-ring for Israel

 

According to a Sudanese reports, local informants gave Israel intel that facilitated in air-strike on Sudan in 2009 and again in 2012.

 

 

Sudan said Saturday night that it has arrested a ring of informants working on behalf of Israeli intelligence.
