3 mortar shells were launched towards Israeli soldiers near Israel-Gaza border fence with no injuries or damage reported.

Gaza: Israel’s Air Force retaliated leaving 2 Palestinians moderately injured.

Palestinians shot three mortar shells Thursday morning on an area where an IDF force was engaging in routine activity on the Israeli side of the security barrier in the southern Gaza Strip. There were no casualties and no damage was caused.

Israel Air Force destroys Hamas rocket launchers in Gaza airstrike

 

 

IAF strikes several Gaza targets in retaliation for rocket fire earlier Thursday that landed in open area inside of Sdot Negev Regional Council.

The IDF launched airstrikes on three Gaza Strip targets. Military sources reported that rocket launchers and observation posts were destroyed.

The strikes, the sources noted, were in retaliation for Palestinian rocket fire on Israeli territory.

On Thursday evening a Qassam rocket was launched from the Gaza Strip and exploded in an open area at the Sdot Negev Regional Council.

IAF aircraft struck two underground rocket launchers in the Gaza Strip on Thursday in response to earlier mortar fire from the coastal territory into southern Israel.

Palestinians did not report any injuries or damage in the strike.

The IAF strikes came after two mortar shells were fired into southern Israel from Gaza on Wednesday morning. No injuries or damage were reported in the attacks.

The hostilities occurred as Israel was marking one year since it began Operation Pillar of Defense to root out terror infrastructure in Gaza.

Israeli officials expressed anger Friday at the White House’s decision to disclose that Israel carried out the two attacks on targets in Syria Thursday. The attacks in Latakiya and Damascus are believed to have targeted SA-8 missiles that were about to be transferred to Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Israel Blamed for Massive Explosion at Syria Missile Site

Reports of massive explosions were reported at a gov’t military base in western Syria. Both Syrian & Lebanese sources say Israel was behind the blast.

There was a massive explosion early Thursday morning at an aerial defense base near the city of Latakia in northeastern Syria, Walla reports, based on reports from the Syrian opposition.

Opposition sources said the base, which held anti-aircraft missiles, was destroyed in the blast.

Sources in Syria and Lebanon blamed Israel for the strike. However, they offered alternate versions of events: while Syrian sources said the base was hit by a strike from the sea, Lebanese media outlets reported that Israeli planes were seen in the area before the blast. Continue Reading »

Palestinian terrorists in Gaza fired two rockets toward south Israel at dawn on Monday. A number of explosions were heard shortly after the “Color Red” siren warning of the incoming rockets sounded in communities located within the Ashkelon Beach Regional Council.

According to the statement, a direct hit was identified and all aircraft returned safely to their bases.

The IDF statement said that the airstrike came in response to Thursday afternoon’s rocket attack from Lebanon at northern Israel.

An IAF aircraft  successfully targeted Hamas’ concealed rocket launchers in northern Gaza, in response to rockets fired onto Israel by local terrorists.

An IAF aircraft targeted concealed rocket launchers in northern Gaza on Tuesday night, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said in a statement.

Directs hits were confirmed.

“The IDF air strikes were conducted in response to the rocket launched at the civilians living in the Sha’ar HaNegev regional council yesterday (Tuesday) evening,” said the statement. “This is an absurd situation that would not be tolerated anywhere else in the world.”

Egypt army reports 12 militants killed in Sinai following alleged Israeli drone strike


Egyptian Military spokesman says Islamic militants were wanted for the attack that killed 16 Egyptian soldiers last year & the abduction of 7 security forces earlier this year.

Israeli defense sources have declined to comment on The New York Times’ report on an alleged Israeli strike in Latakia, Syria; Israel didn’t comment either when the explosions took place on July 5.
