US Apologized to Israel for Leak that May Lead Israel to War

Pentagon sources confirmed the United States has apologized for leaking information on Israel’s alleged attack in Syria several weeks ago which could have put Israeli lives in danger.

The United States has apologized for leaking information about Israel’s alleged attack on a convoy of weapons in Syria bound for Hizbullah terrorists several weeks ago. According to reports that appeared in the Jerusalem Post over the weekend, the “leak” about the U.S. leak came from an Israel Radio correspondent, who listed details of the leak, and the apology.

Pentagon to invest additional $395.9 million in Iron Dome

Washington intends to allocate $220 million in 2014, $176 million in 2015 for Iron Dome missile defense systems protecting Israel.

The United States plans to finance the Israel’s Iron Dome anti-missile by the amount of $220 million for the fiscal year 2014, despite the US’s budget cuts.

According Missile Defense Agency (MDA), the Pentagon plans to spend $220.3 million on the Iron Dome.

The Pentagon, which had already spent $204 million in 2011 and $70 million in 2012, also foresees a budget of 176 million for the Iron Dome system in 2015. Continue Reading »

US Senate FRC Resolution to Assist Israel in Iran Strike Approved

The U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee adopts a resolution which commits the U.S.to assist Israel in case of an attack on Iran.

The U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee adopted on Tuesday a resolution which stipulates that the U.S. will assist Israel if it is forced to take action against Iran.

The resolution, Senate Resolution 65, was introduced last month by Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) and was co-sponsored by 15 Senators, including Robert Menendez (D-New Jersey), Marco Rubio (R-Florida), Kelly Ayotte (R-New Hampshire), John Cornyn (R-Texas) and Chuck Schumer (D-New York).

It states that the United States has a vital national interest in and unbreakable commitment to, ensuring the existence, survival, and security of the State of Israel; reaffirms the United States support for Israel’s right to self-defense; and urges that if Israel is compelled to take military action in self-defense, the United States will stand with Israel and provide diplomatic, military, and economic support in its defense of its territory, people, and existence. Planned U.S. Budget with Increase in Defense Aid for Israel

President Obama announced that the new U.S. budget for the coming year, includes increased American defense aid for Israel.

The planned U.S. budget for the coming year, which was announced by President Barack Obama on Wednesday, maintains and even increases the American defense aid to Israel, Channel 10 News reported.

According to the numbers published, the United States will provide Israel with $3.4 billion in defense aid, a record number, according to Channel 10.

The budget proposal submitted to Congress also includes a request for the addition of approximately $220 million to finance the Iron Dome anti-missile defense system, a request that was not included in last year’s budget proposal, but was added later on. Continue Reading »

The United States has quietly unblocked almost $500 million in aid to the Palestinian Authority which had been frozen by Congress for months, a top US official said Friday.

69% of Americans are against US pushing peace on Israel

55% of Americans sympathize more with Israel, 9% sympathize more with the Palestinians  according to Washington Post-ABC poll.

A large majority of Americans (69 percent) believe that the administration of US President Barack Obama should leave the handling of the peace process to Israel and the Palestinians rather than taking the lead in resolving the conflict between the sides, a Washington Post-ABC News poll released Monday found.

White House video which states that President Barack Obama’s planned speech before Israeli university students is the centerpiece of his visit, also appears to confirm that the White House deliberately left Ariel University students out of the event.

The spokesman in the video, Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes, says in it that the universities chosen to send students to the event were the ones that “partner” with the U.S. Embassy.
