JUNIPER COBRA 2020 Military Exercise Cancelled Over Coronavirus

Following Israel’s new Health Ministry guidelines on the Coronavirus threat, the JUNIPER COBRA Exercise scheduled for the American and Israeli militaries has been cancelled.

A joint exercise between the American and Israeli militaries has been cancelled due to concern over the novel Coronavirus.

The JUNIPER COBRA Exercise was scheduled to begin this week and last through March 13. Over 600 troops from the US European Command were scheduled to arrive from Germany and the United States.

US & Israel begins 10th joint ‘Juniper Cobra’ military exercise

Juniper Cobra is a 5-day joint military exercise conducted every other year between Israel and the United States to strengthen US Armed  Forces-IDF military cooperation against regional threats, promoting long-term security.

The 10th annual Juniper Cobra exercise between the IDF and the United States Europe Command (EUCOM) began on Tuesday, with hundreds of US troops landing in Israel to take part.

The drill will take place between March 3rd and March 13th, will be the largest IDF and USEUCOM joint exercise taking place this year with over 2,500 US troops participating in several different locations- in Israel, Europe and the United States. Continue Reading »

No one is bringing up Iran, but F-35 stealth fighter pilots from Israel, UK, and US are training together with their variant aircrafts in the joint ‘Tri-Lightening’ exercises over the eastern Mediterranean Sea.

F-35 Lightning II stealth fighter jets from the United States, United Kingdom and Israel participated in a joint exercise over the eastern Mediterranean Sea on Tuesday.

The exercise, dubbed “Tri-Lightning”, was the first of its kind to bring together F-35 fighters from the three countries air forces.

The one-day defensive counter air exercise included both friendly and “enemy” aircraft from the three countries, and included use of both active and passive defense operations. Continue Reading »

Greece announces joint air force drill with Israel

Greece’s defense minister says his country is planning an eastern Mediterranean exercise that will include the participation of Cyprus, Israel, Egypt and other European countries’ air force in an effort to increase stability in the region.

Greece’s defense minister said on Sunday plans are being drawn up for joint air force drills with Cyprus, Israel, Egypt and other European countries as part of efforts to bolster stability in the eastern Mediterranean, The Associated Press reports.

The remarks by Panos Kammenos came after a military parade in the Cypriot capital to commemorate the 57th anniversary of the ethnically divided island’s independence. Continue Reading »
