Interior Minister Aryeh Deri on Sunday ordered the Population and Immigration Authority to prepare a legal opinion on the revocation of the Israeli residency of Omar Barghouti, the co-founder of the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement.

UK denies BDS co-founder entry to speak at Labour Conference

BDS co-founder Omar Barghouti, who was invited to speak at a number of events during the Labour party conference, was denied an entry visa into the UK without explanation.

Omar Barghouti, the co-founder of the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, has been denied an entry visa to the UK, where he was due to speak at a number of fringe events at the Labour party conference.

Omar Barghouti, BDS founder, barred entry into U.S.

BLACKLISTED: Airline staff at Israel’s Ben Gurion Int’l Airport told the BDS co-founder that US gov’t officials had directed the Tel Aviv consulate to stop Barghouti from boarding his flight based on an “immigration matter.”

President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins welcomes founder of BDS movement

Irish President Michael Higgins welcomed Omar Barghouti at a trade Union conference in Belfast, where the anti-Israel, BDS founder was the guest of honor.

Irish President Michael d. Higgins met on Thursday with the founder the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions movement against Israel, Omar Barghouti, Ynet reported.

The meeting occurred at a trade Union conference in Belfast, where Barghouti was a guest of honor.

BDS victory against Israel….at the expense of the Palestinians

Barghouti was also received warmly in the city of Derry, which, earlier this year, adopted a BDS resolution.

Higgins has a long history of criticizing Israel.

Israel arrests BDS founder Omar Barghouti for tax evasion

 

BDS co-founder Omar Barghouti, the Qatari Arab who moved to Israel and studied at Tel Aviv University, was arrested for allegedly concealing $700,000 of income from tax authorities.

One of the founders of the international Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement has been arrested for concealing large sums of money from tax authorities.

Police say Omar Barghouti, founder of both the BDS movement and the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel, was arrested on suspicion he committed tax evasion over the past decade, concealing $700,000 in earned income from tax authorities.
