Abbas’ PA Accuses Jews of Poisoning Arafat ‘Like Prophet Mohammed’

Watch Minister of Religious Affairs for the PA, on official Palestinian Authority TV, claim Arafat was poisoned by the Jews ‘like prophet Mohammed.’

In a sermon broadcasted on official Palestinian Authority (PA) TV, the PA Minister of Religious Affairs Al-Habbash said former PA chairman Yasser Arafat, like Islam’s prophet Mohammed, was poisoned to death by Jews.

During the sermon, which was translated by Palestinian Media Watch, Al-Habbash said Arafat died a martyr. He added “we don’t have the slightest doubt that they (the Jews) killed him…even Allah’s Messenger (Mohammed) they (the Jews) killed him with poison.” Continue Reading »

Arafat widow & P.A. paid for polonium tests

The Washington Free Beacon reported Friday that Suha Arafat & the P.A. paid for the poisoning tests.

The widow of Yasser Arafat and the Palestinian Authority paid for the Swiss medical tests on the late Palestinian leader’s body that showed he did not die of natural causes.

The Washington Free Beacon reported Friday that a spokesperson for the University Centre of Legal Medicine in Lausanne told the newspaper that Suha Arafat and the P.A. paid for the tests.

Palestinian Authority Drilling for Oil in Judea and Samaria

The Palestinian Authority reported Saturday it will start drilling for oil in Judea & Samaria, and plans to sign contracts with British companies on coastal gas exploration.

The Palestinian Authority (PA) announced Saturday it will start searching for oil near Rantis, a town north west of Ramallah and just east of the 1949 Armistice line. The PA further claimed contracts will be signed with British companies in the coming weeks to produce natural gas from sea reserves off the Gaza coast.

On Saturday Palestinian Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mohammed Mustafa, said that the PA is in the final stages of preparation before advertising bids internationally to drill for oil in Judea and Samaria. Continue Reading »

Palestinian investigation concludes: Israel assassinated Arafat

Acknowledging insufficient evidence to support theory that PA president died of polonium poisoning, the Palestinian investigators say Israel is only suspect in Arafat’s murder.

 

 

The commission set up to investigate the circumstances of former Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat’s death presented their findings in a press conference in Ramallah on Friday.

The two teams of investigators, Swiss and Russian, did not find any conclusive evidence, Dr. Abdullah Bashir, the chairman of the medical committee, said.

“The outcome of the comprehensive report on the levels of Polonium-210 and the development of his illness does not give sufficient evidence to support the decision that Polonium-210 caused acute radiation syndrome leading to death,” he said, quoting conclusions of the Russian report. The three Hebron University engineering students had intended to build a pilotless aircraft equipped with explosives, according to the Palestinian security source.

On the day Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas spoke at the UN of finalizing an agreement with Israel, essentially recognizing Israel’s existence, a speech he had written for an event in the Palestinian Authority (PA) lavishly praised a PA terrorist whose actions murdered and injured dozens of Israelis.

Israel’s Strategic Affairs Minister says Palestinian sponsored indoctrination of  incitement is a serious obstacle to peace.

Since the indoctrination is part of the general culture, the problem does not exist only among the extremists.

 

 

 

Palestinian incitement is ruining the chances of ending the conflict, Strategic Affairs Minister Yuval Steinitz said in the Knesset on Wednesday.

Steinitz presented his ministry’s report on incitement to the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.

“Incitement is a serious obstacle to peace,” he stated.

World Bank: Lifting Israeli restrictions would help Palestinian economy

 

Not giving all of the West Bank to the Palestinians, restricts their economy by $3.4 billion annually, reports the World Bank.

 

 

The Palestinian GDP in the West Bank could increase by at least 35%, $3.4 billion annually, if Israel lifted its restrictions on Palestinian access and movement in Area C, the World Bank said in a report it issued Tuesday morning.

“Access to Area C will go a long way to solving Palestinian economic problems,” said Mariam Sherman, the outgoing World Bank Country Director for the Palestinian territories.

PA Police begin security crackdown on Jihadists in Jenin

 

Hundreds of Palestinian police officers arrest wanted individuals in & around West Bank city of Jenin including a raid at the home of Jihadist leader Bassam Saadi.

The Palestinian Authority is trying to regain control of the problemtic refugee camps in the West Bank. The PA’s security forces began this weekend an arrest operation that concentrates mainly on the refugee camp in Jenin.

Palestinian Council legalizes online dating for the purpose of marriage

 

Palestinian Council recognizes internet dating has become “unavoidable & impossible to prohibit completely.”

The Palestinian Authority’s Supreme Fatwa Council ruled on Tuesday that men and women are allowed to date online, but only for the purpose of marriage.

The council explained that dating and chatting on social media websites, “which have hugely developed in this era, have become an indispensable necessity.”

This unprecedented ruling contradicts fatwas by many extremist Islamic scholars against the use of digital technology for dating between Muslim men and women.

PA official blasts token presence at Egypt-Gaza border crossing

 

Hamas accuses the Palestinian Authority of inciting Egypt to keep the Rafah crossing closed to undermine its authority over the coastal territory.

The Palestinian Authority does not want to return to the Rafah border crossing as part of a partial solution to the crisis at the crossing between Egypt and the Gaza Strip, Jibril Rajoub, a senior member of the Fatah Central Committee, announced Saturday.

Rajoub’s announcement came as the Egyptian authorities reopened the border.

“The Palestinian leadership rejects partial appearances, such as the presence of the Presidential Guard at the sovereign border crossings, including Rafah,” Rajoub said.

IDF officials accuse PA of ‘incompetence’ after 2 Israeli soldiers murdered

IDF officials say Abbas’ PA security forces have done little as far as arresting terrorists recently, & that no one has yet been tried by a Palestinian court over the past year.

 

Senior Israeli security sources on Monday accused the Palestinian Authority and its security services of “complete incompetence” in fighting terrorism, following the killing of two Israel Defense Forces soldiers in the West Bank over the past few days.
