Many Arrested in Bethlehem Counter-Terror Ops

Deputy Defense Minister Danon reports active battle against Bethlehem terrorism is ongoing, saying arrests have been made.

The IDF is engaged in an ongoing counter-terrorism push in the Bethlehem area, Deputy Defense Minister Danny Danon revealed this weekend in response to an enquiry.

MK Nissim Zeev (Shas) had filed a parliamentary query regarding the IDF response to ongoing assaults at Kever Rachel in Bethlehem.

Terrorists have frequently attacked worshipers at the holy site – the burial place of the Biblical matriarch Rachel – located just minutes from Jerusalem. In some recent attacks terrorists have used makeshift grenades. Continue Reading »

Israeli soldiers have arrested three Palestinian Authority police officers-turned-terrorists, who shot to death a young Jewish father as he returned from praying at the tomb of the Biblical Patriarch Joseph in Samaria (Shomron).

Arab media outlets reported the arrests in May, but the news was only officially confirmed by Israeli sources Wednesday after the removal of a gag order.

Those arrested were identified as Nawaf Fahd Bani Ouda, 24, Wael Hassin Mahmoud Daoud, 24, and Tarki Diyad Tarki Zuara’a, 23. Continue Reading »

The Jeu de Paume museum in Paris served as the “Einsatzstab’s”, the storage facility for 22,000 works of art confiscated by the Nazis from 200 Jewish collections in France.

For four years, from 1940 to 1944, the Jeu de Paume became a notorious “concentration camp” for confiscated works of art. The Museum was frequently visited by high ranking Nazi officials, including the Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring.

Now, in the same state-funded museum, there is an exhibition calling the Palestinian Arab suicide bombers “martyrs”.

The letter sent to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday strongly condemned Fatah’s Sultan Abu Al-Einein following his “open support for the murderer of Eviatar Borovsky,” and called for him to be removed from office.

Security forces arrested a Hamas terror cell in the West Bank that plotted to manufacture and fire rockets, and kidnap and kill a soldier, the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) announced on Wednesday.

The arrests, carried out by the Shin Bet and the IDF, occurred in January and February, and also disrupted plans by the cell to plant explosives, the Shin Bet added.

Dozens of Palestinians threw stones at IDF soldiers on Thursday during the funerals of three Palestinians in the West Bank, Army Radio reported. A policeman was lightly wounded in Ramallah, and a CNN cameraman was lightly wounded in Hebron, according to sources.

The Palestinian Authority has no right to demand that Israel release terrorists it is holding, MK Ayelet Shaked of Bayit Yehudi (Jewish Home) wrote on Sunday. “We must not become confused by terminology,” she wrote on her Facebook page. “The ‘prisoners’ in question are not regular criminals, but terrorists.”

Palestinian gunmanTwo Palestinians who were detained on Saturday in the Hawara area near Nablus were carrying three makeshift grenades and three Molotov cocktails. The terrorists managed to hurl two additional firebombs at an IDF post before being apprehended by soldiers from the Lavi Battalion.

Arabs Stone Kindergarten, Arabs shoot into Bus

Sunday saw a number of incidents in which inciting Arabs rioted, threw rocks at kindergarten children and shot at Israelis traveling in a bus.

Arab terrorists fired on a bus traveling in the Binyamin region Sunday evening. There were no injuries reported.

The number 172 bus, traveling from Jerusalem to the town of Anatot, was fired at as it passed near the Arab town of Hizme, north of Jerusalem. The bus was damaged, with several of the bullets piercing the bullet-proof windows.

Police closed the road immediately after the shooting was reported, and began a search for the culprits. Continue Reading »

US judge: Palestinians allowed to cover up link to 2002 terror attack

Citing “privileged & protected” information, U.S. Judge orders memo proving the connection of the PA to a suicide bombing, returned to the Palestinian Authority or destroyed.

A US judge ruled that the Palestinian Authority has the right to cover up evidence of its connection to a 2002 suicide bombing in Karnei Shomron which killed three teenagers, The New York Post reported Monday.

According to the report, a two-page memo directly linking the PA to the terror attack was inadvertently handed over to lawyers suing the Palestinian government for $300 million on behalf of the parents of two American teens killed in the bombing.
