The Shabak, IDF and Israel Police on Tuesday revealed that they had discovered and eliminated an Arab terror cell that operated in the Binyamin area, whose main activity was attempting to kidnap Israelis.

The cell, led by two terrorists and based in Ramallah, is part of the Popular Front terror group. They were recently arrested and admitted under interrogation that they had planned to kidnap an Israeli, who would be held captive while the terrorists negotiated for the release of Ahmed Sa’adat, the arch-terrorist who, among other things, was responsible for the murder of former Tourism Minister Rachamim Ze’evi.

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit released a video on Monday which shows the 17-year-old Palestinian Authority Arab terrorist who attacked a Border Police officer in Hevron last Wednesday.

The terrorist was ultimately killed by a female officer who was on hand and shot the teen when she sensed that her fellow officer was in danger. Cleared for publication:The terrorist who carried out the bombing attack on a bus in central Tel Aviv Wednesday was apprehended by Israeli security forces within hours of the attack.

The terrorist was apprehended in a joint operation conducted by the Shin Bet, Israel Police and the IDF. Twenty-nine people were injured in the attack.

A female Arab terrorist attempted to murder an Israel Border Guard on Sultan Suleiman street in Jerusalem. The Arab attacked the officer with a knife outside a police station on the street. The officer fought back his attacker, and was lightly wounded. The terrorist was subdued by several officers near the building.

Two youths from east Jerusalem, aged 15 and 17, were recently arrested on suspicion of stabbing Abraham Tau two weeks ago in the Ras al-Amud neighborhood in Jerusalem.

Two additional suspects, aged 13 and 14, are scheduled to be indicted for their role in the stabbing.

The Shin Bet, together with the IDF and Israel Police, have exposed a PFLP terror cell that planned shooting attacks and abductions for negotiating the release of terrorist prisoners.

The cell’s members were arrested before they could carry out their plans. Weapons were also found in the course of one of the arrests.

The Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), IDF, and Judea and Samaria district police arrested two men who confessed to taking part in the brutal October 2000 lynch of two IDF soldiers, security forces announced Thursday.

The arrests came after the Shin Bet and police uncovered an extensive Hamas terror structure in Ramallah and the Binyamin region, and arrested other suspects along with the two men.

Israel Air Force aircraft struck a terror cell preparing to launch rockets into Israel from theGaza Strip on Friday, according to the IDF Spokesman’s Office.

The strike came after two rockets were fired into Southern Israel from Gaza earlier in the day landing in the Eshkol Regional Council area. More than 130 rockets have been fired into the South from Gaza since Monday, but Thursday and Friday were relatively quiet after an Egyptian-brokered informal ceasfire seemed to be largely holding. An al-Qaida-linked group calling itself “The Shura Council of Mujahideen in the Holy Land” claimed responsibility Tuesday for a cross-border-attack along Israel’s southern border that killed one construction worker on Monday.

Reuters obtained a video showing a group of masked men who claimed responsibility for the attack. The masked men used Islamic slogans, pledging to liberate the Holy Land from what they termed Jewish control.

Border Police Officer Stabbed at Cave of Patriarchs

A Border Police officer was lightly wounded in a Hevron stabbing attack; terrorist shot, resuscitated

 

 

A terrorist on Monday evening stabbed a Border Police officer at the Muslim entrance to the Cave of the Patrarchs in Hevon.

Nearby soldiers opened fire on the terrorist, wounding him critically and ending the threat.

MDA team arrived on the scene cleared the soldier to the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem, with light injuries to their head. Another MDA team resuscitated the terrorist.

The Israel Police and IDF are investigating the incident.

Israel released the bodies of 91 terrorists to the Palestinian Authority early Thursday morning, but refused to release their identities.

Israel released the bodies of 91 terrorists to the Palestinian Authority early Thursday morning. The release of the bodies is another in an ongoing series of “gestures” by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to the PA, in an effort to encourage PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to agree to return to negotiations with Israel. So far, the PA has refused, although Abbas has accepted Israel’s “gestures.”

Some of the bodies have been held by Israel for decades. Among those to be handed over to the PA are the remains of seven terrorists who attacked the Savoy Hotel in Tel Aviv in 1975, the terrorist who killed six people at Cafe Hillel in Jerusalem in 2003, and terrorists who bombed buses in Ashkelon and Be’ersheva in 1996. The IDF imposed an embargo on a video allegedly documenting a Palestinian terrorist using a Palestinian woman as a human shield, Ynet discovered Sunday.

Footage taken by IDF cameras in the area clearly shows the terrorist holding the woman hostage, carrying her as a barrier between himself and IDF forces.

Shin Bet exposes Hebron terror cells

Internal security service says recent arrest of several Palestinian terrorists thwarted attack on Kiryat Arba; indictments filed

The Shin Bet internal security service cleared for publication on Wednesday that over the past few weeks it has exposed, in cooperation with the IDF, a number of terror cells in the Hebron area, Ynet reported.

One of the cells, which is affiliated with Hamas, was involved in a bombing attack, while another planned to kidnap Israelis in Kiryat Arba.
