Joint Israel-France environmental research satellite ready for launch

 

The Venµs, a vegetation & environment monitoring micro-satellite is scheduled to be launched into space from French Guinea in August.
• It’s a collaboration between Israel’s Aerospace Industries, Elbit Systems, Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and France’s space agency.

Israel’s Subcommittee on Space says Jewish State needs 4 communication satellites

 

Israel’s Knesset Subcommittee on Space says restarting satellite program must be made a national priority
after the loss of Amos-5 & Amos-6 satellites, leaving Israel with only 2 working communication satellites.

Israel will have only two communications satellites in space in 2017, but it needs to maintain four satellites in orbit, a new report by the Knesset Subcommittee on Space said.

The panel, reporting to the Knesset Science and Technology Committee, was set up following the loss of the Amos-5 and Amos-6 communications satellites.

Israel’s AMOS-6 satellite to transmit free internet to sub-saharan Africa

 

The joint venture initiated by Facebook’s Internet.org includes the Israeli company Spacecom, and French satellite provider Eutelsat, bringing internet access to millions of Africans who aren’t currently connected.

An Israeli space company, Spacecom, is developing its newest satellite for Facebook and French satellite provider Eutelsat, in a venture intended to supply free Internet to millions of people in sub-Saharan Africa.

Israel Too is a Leader in Space Exploration

State of Israel has successfully launched 13 satellites that have collectively accumulated 66 orbiting years & has achieved 100% success in all orbit missions.

 

Israel is among the global leaders in many areas of space exploration, such as the possession of an extensive satellite system for research purposes.
